We've stayed at DVC resorts probably about 8 times already, but our upcoming vacation is the first time I've ever had to use the waiting lists. We currently have ressies at SSR for the 10/20-27. We are having a family reunion, so we will be staying in 1 2bdrm, 2 1bdrms, and 1 studio. I called to see about changing to BCV or BWV and was surprised that they were already booked (yesterday was the 7-month point). Anyway, we are on the waitlist for both BCV and BWV, but was wondering if I should just keep it to one (our 1st pref is BCV simply because the kids LOVE that pool), since we would all want to be together - I'm not sure what the chances are of us not getting in all one resort - and simply what are the chances of us actually getting the any of rooms at those resorts. We definitely don't want to be split up. It is 7-months out, so there is a good amount of time, but just wondering what other's experiences are with the wait list. Although, I do like SSR a lot (just LOVE the beautiful decor), but I really had wanted to switch, simply because we plan on spending a lot of time in Epcot at the food and wine festival. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! :coffee:

I don't know what your chances are, but I don't think they are high. There are other BWV/BCV members ahead of you on the wait list, And this time of year demand is very high at those resorts. I think you should plan on your SSR stay, and realize that the other 2 resorts are a long shot. Good Luck!

Since staying together at one resort is a requirement, and you have quite a few villas reserved, plan on having a wonderful time at SSR this trip.:thumbsup2
On a future trip, when you need just one villa, and you want to experience BWV or BCV during F & W, your chances should be better. :goodvibes

Since your trip is during the F & W Festival the waitlist is very iffy. I'm currently waitlisted at BWV. I've had everything but 2 nights come through but I've been on the waitlist for quite a while. Due to their proximity to EPCOT they are the preferred resorts during the F & W festival for those attending. Last year I had to split my stay three ways with 4 nights OKW, 4 nights SSR then 5 nights OKW.

How bad is the move? We are currently splitting 2 nights at BWV and 2 nights at SSR. But we also have that last night booked for BWV. Can't seem to get 5/13. We were thinking about cancelling the last night at SSR and moving back to BWV. (We love Epcot and the BW). Is this a major hassel?

:confused3 Got a call from MS today - they have the 2 1-bedrooms available if I want them at BWV. :cheer2: Now, of course, my dilema is - do I take them and hope for the other 2-bedroom and studio or just stay at SSR. MS mentioned that 1 bedrooms are a bit easier to come by at BWV so I'm wondering if I should switch the 2 bedroom and studio to that as well. Really doesn't matter as far as folks per room. ARGH...Big decisions...The only reason I was swithing was because I know we plan to attend the food and wine festival quite a bit, but I do like the new-ness and gorgeous decor at SSR. :confused3

I was wondering also how does waitlist work.....i was on a waitlist for Nov.22, 2007 for BWV BOARDWALK VIEW long before my daughter made her ereservations for the exact rooms....her waitlist came through yesterday ...mine didn't....so whats up with that....i am happy for her, but i want mine to since it was made before hers.....months before....lol

Thant is interesting. They keep telling me it is in order of when the waitlist was made. They say that no one can get the room if there is a waitlist for it.

Hmm...:sad2:

mstec, I don't know what you decided but I would have booked the 1 BRs at BWV. Then you would only be waitlisted for a 2 BR and a studio. With it being almost 7 months, I think you would have a good chance of getting them. You could also waitlist day by day. Of course, you take the chance of having to move during your stay if all days do not come through. On the other hand though, it is sometimes easier to get your waitlist when you do it day by day.

Good luck!

Donna
