First time using the IPO at AKL

    We are staying CL at the AKL during our trip this summer.

    I've never used the IPO before to make any reservations with the exception of the sunrise safari tour.

    This time, we had 5-6 requests and decided to let the IPO take care of making them for us. (which for me to turn that over to someone else to make, is making me a little nervous, but my DH told me to relax. He said that is what they are there for.)

    Our 180 day mark is technically 2/14/13. This past weekend, I emailed our requests to the IPO office so they had everything in plenty of time.

    I did get a phone call yesterday from someone at the IPO with some additional information that I had asked about, and was also told that they received our requests, and have them entered into the system. (I also received an email stating this same thing)

    They said once the "reservation window" opens, they have someone in early that day to start making our reservations.

    My question is, how soon will I get our list of confirmation #'s for our reservations. Should I call the IPO on the morning of 2/14 and make sure these got made or ???? (I just want to make sure our reservations get made and that I shouldn't have called to make them myself. If I miss out on something, I'm going to feel absolutely crushed.) :confused3

    I guess I'm just looking for someone to provide me wth your experiences in using the IPO for your ADR's and other reservations.

    I am very much a control freak when it comes to my ADR's so I am wondering the response you get to this. We are at WL and my adr window is 3/23

    For years I wouldn't ask the IPO office to make my ADRs because I was worried something would go wrong. I trusted AKL's IPO several years ago and was so glad I did -- now I really appreciate the service. I think I heard back the same morning that my window opened (by email), but I'm on the West Coast, so maybe it would be afternoon for others.
