Hi Guys,

I'm sorry if this has been posted in the wrong section, or has been asked a 1000 times!! I'm making my 1st visit with my wife on the 16/9 for 3 nights and was looking for some tips. Especially concerning AP's. Can I buy one from the UK? It appears itmay work out slightly cheaper for 3 days in the park.

We should arrive around 4pm. Is it best to get the APs that evening?

I was also after a restaurant tip for the second night, cost isn't an issue.

Thanks :goodvibes

Hi Aaron

We are from the UK too and will be visiting DLR in the first week of September - it will be our fourth time to DLR.

We bought our AP for our first visit as we were staying in Anaheim for 14 nights - we spent 9 part days in the park on that trip and managed to get another trip for a week out of it before it ran out. We bought an AP first time as the max number of days we could get on a park hopper was 6 (now its 5)

The cost though for a Deluxe AP is $678 p.p. so a lot more expensive than a 3 day hopper which is currently $265 p.p. I personally wouldn't use a ticket for the date of arrival if I was only arriving at 4pm - you will want to sleep!!! Unless you are staying somewhere else in California before you arrive in Anaheim of course.

We bought our AP's online directly with Disney - you print out your tickets, take them to the turnstile and they direct you to the AP office within DL park to have your photos taken and proper AP's issued (at least that's what happened with us in 2010.

Feel free to ask any more questions.

While international guests can buy APs through the Disneyland website, I really don't think it would be worth it for 3 nights. Maybe you've read about DLP? APs are much better value there!

A 3 day park hopper for DLR is only $265, as opposed to $519 for the deluxe AP, which you would have to make sure didn't have any blockout dates for your trip or face upgrading to a premium AP which is nearly $700!

If you don't arrive until 4pm I wouldn't bother including that day on your ticket. Have an early dinner and check out some of the shops at Downtown Disney, then head back to your hotel to relax and have an early night after a long flight and changing time zones.

I would recommend Blue Bayou for a dinner with atmosphere that you can only get at Disneyland! There are mixed reviews on the food, but I found it to be decent.
