Going to Topolinos for the first time for dinner and very excited. I always like to look at the menus before I go and I’m torn between the Rigatoni and the Pork Shank. I know 2 totally different types of food but any input from anyone who’s eaten there?
Also open to suggestions as to what to order

We ate there earlier this week and both my son and I had the rigatoni. We both thought it was fantastic, one of my favorite things I've eaten on property. My husband got the lobster pasta dish. He really enjoyed it. I tried it and it was good, though I liked the rigatoni much better. Sorry, no experience with the pork shank, though.

It was our first time eating there and it was just a wonderful experience overall. Service was outstanding and the food and drinks were delicious. I highly recommend the ricotta appetizer as well. If you are there when Harmonious runs, let your server know you plan to go out to the terrace. We did and our's was kind enough to hold off bringing our entrees until we returned to the table. All in all, we had a wonderful evening dining there and watching the fireworks. We thought it was worth every penny and will definitely be back.

Two of us went in December and we got the rigatoni and the pork shank. I got the pork shark and really liked it, but it didn't necessarily blow me away. If you feel like that kind of dish, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The rigatoni was both of our preference, it was very, very good. Both are hits, but I preferred the pasta.

No experience on the pork - the rigatoni was very good, and I've also had the French veal chop and filet mignon and both also very good. The burrata and ricotta antipasto are also favorites.

We were there last June and our server recommended the Classic Sole Meunière to me. I typically don't order fish but holy hades was that delicious (previously I have had the filet and enjoyed it). I can't wait to go back to get the sole again. Our group also loved the rigatoni and the lobster linguine. I tried the pork shank and it was really good. Topolino's is now on our must list... food is always good and the service is outstanding!

I thought the scallops superb, exceptionally well cooked. Only place I've had better was V&A's.

And in case anyone reading here is concerned, the chef was exceptional about modifying dishes for my gluten-free/dairy-free need and DH's peppers allergy.

We are beyond eager to return. This time, we'll not have far to waddle if we can get an ADR there for our arrival night stay at RIV.
:tinker: Hoping for pixie dust!

Thank you this is very helpful as my wife has a salt intolerance and while Disney is always good at these types of things it’s good to know this specific restaurant will accommodate

The scallops were amazing. We have dined there multiple times and tried many different appetizers and entrees and have never had a bad choice.

Disney is great about allergies!

Definitely mention salt everywhere you dine, my breakfast at Topolino’s was salted to death, I’ve had a couple other instances at various restaurants at WDW over the years where they used an absurd (to me) amount of salt. If your order is flagged you won’t get some sous chef going crazy.

I've tasted both. Both were very good, but I agree that the rigatoni won out. I had the fish last time and it was also very good and would recommend that for your wife if she eats fish. We had a vegetarian with us last time and she was very pleased with the plant based (apps, entree, desert) food that she tried.

Anyone know if the menu is expected to change ? It gets such great reviews that I’d love to try it, but the menu has never been very appealing to me. Though, if they kept the rigatoni on the menu, and I could get it without the truffles and mushrooms, I’d definitely order that.

thanks !

We just ate there last night and my plan was similar to yours.Get the rigatoni without mushrooms, but it can’t be done. The waitress said they cannot be removed bc there in sauce.I said it’s ok I will work around them. She than said, if I’m not a mushroom fan it’s not the dish for me.Very mushroomy, said they even add a mushroom powder. So need less to say,I got the filet.I was so glad I asked because I had no idea.
I will just add my own opinion, that now having tried it from starters all the way to desert, that we wouldn’t be eager to return. So if you don’t see much on menu, there are other same to better quality restaurants to enjoy a great meal on property.

Thank you for this! Yeah, unless they change the menu…not for me. I loathe mushrooms, lol.

I have too many potential restaurants on my list anyway, lol.

Can I ask where else you ate? Thanks!

My mother had the sole, and said while it was tasty it was super salty.I will say same I’m regards to filet sauce. I know many don’t mind, but we would say dishes run salty. Unless we have been spoiled we also thought the bread or wheat stalks were not enjoyable. We did split the chocolate cake at end, which was fine.We won’t be returning here and we’re Disney vets who come often and base alot on food but to each their own, others love it.

Thanks! Well, that’s the thing - everyone has their favorite rides, everyone has their favorite restaurants. I might end up loving it, but first I have to get in the door...and they need a more appealing menu for that. So, we‘ll see...but for now, I have too many on my preliminary list as it is, so ...

The rigatoni has long been my absolute favorite (and I don't like mushrooms) but it's my understanding they've relatively recently changed the preparation to add truffle and it's apparently very truffle forward, which isn't appealing to me. Definitely try the ricotta appetizer. I've had the filet and also the sole and enjoyed both.
