First time to WDW in November - any tips?

I've never been the day after Thanksgiving, but we will possibly be going this year. Any advice? I'm sure it will be busy, but not sure if we are talking 10's or 8's....

Judging by what people are saying the new crowd calendars are predicting, I'm scared.

We will be there from the 13th to the 22nd too:) We always try to go in the first two weeks of November, but actually prefer first 2 weeks of December. Our schedules have just not worked out for December lately. We love the first part of November. It is crowded but not too much. However, they do tend to close the MK early quite a bit for special events, Mickeys Christmas Party, so that cuts into your MK park time somewhat. Just be aware. We have found that the closer to TG you get, the more crowded it gets (no surprise there). We were cold the first part last year and burned up closer to TG, so you never know what the weather will be. We have been when Jersey week is supposed to be, but were never impacted by them. We never even knew there was a "jersey week" til after our visits??!! Some of the Christmas decorations will be up, but we found that our resort didn't put them up til we were leaving last year. The atmosphere is definitely fun with pre=Christmas, f&W, and nice weather. You will have a great time:)

Thanks for the info :) we will be there from the 5th-19th, we can't wait!

Bring raincoats! (Or buy the Disney ones, which are actually pretty good quality.) I wished I'd had rain boots, but that's just a personal preference...our feet got soaked! (Not sure rain boots would really work as I don't own a pair, so I don't know how comfortable they are to actually walk in, but I sure was wishing for some!) This was over Thanksgiving week in 2014. We had no choice but to just keep on going and make the best of the rainy times, and one of them a very rainy day...

Been going this time for several years now, and I can count on one hand how many rain days we've had. We've always been lucky with nice/hot weather and very little rain going in early-November. Now that I have said this, our trip this fall will be horrible weather, lol

Oh, I know, I was so looking forward to going that time of year based on most of the reports I'd read. But, alas, we had one of those times in your handful :) I think what I learned was to be prepared; if there's a realistic chance, then come prepared!!

I hope you didn't take that I was questioning your experience---I just re-read what I wrote, and didn't mean to come off like that, LOL. Anyhow, there is a site on another forum I go to, and they have a weatherman that posts outlook forecasts every day of the year, and updates them daily (really cool!). I visit that for a week before my trip, to kinda get an idea on what we can expect (and pack) for.
