We will have one day to spend in SW, and unfortunately it will be in the middle of August!!! How do we deal with the heat? :scared: We would like to eat at Shark's Grill, where do you go to sign up for ressies? How long does the restaurant stay open? If we could get a ressie for afternoon, it would be a good time to take a break from the heat.

For the rest of the trip we are staying on site at US, but we'd like to leave there and spend a night at another hotel when we go to SW (it will save us a few bucks. ;) ). So any close hotels to SW that you'd recommend?

We have been in August before and its hot.But the attractions all have ac so that will keep u cool. They should have a 1-800 # to call for the rest. and time they close. If not when u get to the park just stop into the guest relation building and get the info.If I remember theres a hotel across the street from SW.

Try the laquinta inn on Universal Blvd. It is beautiful with a huge pool, clean large rooms, and a killer breakfast in the morning (free) the rate are low, and may I suggest going to the website and signing up for the "rewards" program.

Just so you know...Universal Orlando is only a 8 min drive up Universal blvd to SW...Im assuming you do not wish to pay the high resort price for an extra night...so try laquinta or possibly the holiday Inn

Thanks for the tips! Yea, since I'm paying $239 a night at a US hotel (so worth it for FOTL!), I thought I'd stay the last night at a somewhat less expensive hotel when we do SW!
