DH, myself, DD (5) & DS (22 months at visit) will be staying in a studio in September and looking for info on hotel & how is the studio rooms? We have stayed in a studio before at AKL. Wondering how the pool is & decor? I've seen pics on website, but heard they were renovated so wondering what the decor is like. Also going to MK is bus the fastest way?
Thanks for any info!

We just returned from a split stay which included 3 nights at WLV in a studio. We loved it! The fold out sofa bed was more comfy than we expected. We loved the kitchenette with the sink/microwave/fridge and storage. While I didn't love the bedspread, we loved everything else. We didn't actually swim since we had Waterparks on our tickets, but the quiet pool was very uncrowded each time we took a peek.

We took the boat home from MK one afternoon and loved the ride! Very scenic!! This wasn't our best trip for bus service for some reason...we've had better bus service over Xmas week! Just bad luck though.

The walk up to the CS was not bad and I just loved walking through that lobby any chance I got!

I highly recommend WLV. I change my mind all the time, but if I was going to buy DVC, I think I'd buy my points here!

Love WL. Haven't stayed in the DVC side. They have an interesting train room, the Carolwood Room. When we were there they had a Steam Train CM speaking. The room is all about Walts love of steam trains.
The quiet pool (the Villas pool)is very peaceful and we love the main pool.
They have movies on the beach, and also watch the Electric Water Parade from the beach.

We never take the bus to MK, the boat is way more enjoyable. We've had good bus service from WL to the parks during our 3 stays.

We love WL as well. The bus to MK is super fast, but the boat is nice and pretty. We also boat to CR to get on the monorail, even though the bus to Epcot is faster. The WL thread that a previous poster linked to is great and has all sorts of info. One other thing we love about WL is how it is all under one roof, even the villas. You can get anywhere in the resort without getting wet if it is raining. The trails towards Fort Wilderness are a great place to take a quiet walk through the woods and likely see deer or other wildlife.

We will be there in Sept also. Does anyone know when the villas were last rennovated? Are they still looking nice? We were there a few years ago. (?2010)

The bus is faster but we loves the boats and took them every chance..much more peaceful . We did boat to monorail for Epcot too. We were not on the villas side but went over there for a massage and to look around. It was a few years ago but it looked great. Very nice and peaceful resort.

The boat is definitely a draw for me! We loved the relaxing trip to MK, and home to WL. Really feels like we are in another world, miles from real life!
