We have been members since 2005. We are staying 1 night on Feb 27 before a cruise and luckily were able to grab a studio at BCV which is one of the two resorts we have never stayed at at WDW (the other is OKW).

Is there anything I need to know about BCV? Specifically I am wondering if I should be be putting in any special requests as far as room location goes? Is there any where I DON'T want to be?

Thanks in advance!
Jess

We just had our first stay with an epcot, aka service road, view a couple weeks ago. I could see where the traffic might bother some light sleepers, but we were fine (and we liked the view of SE).

Room views are pretty much going to be quiet pool, woods/partial epcot view, or beach club grounds. We don't have a preference. One thing about BCV is that there is a "back" sidewalk which runs behind BCV and then the regular resort which drops you off right before the bridge leading to epcot. You can get back in this way too - its a black gate and once you know where it is you can always find it..

It is a long walk to stormalong bay no where you are in the villas. I would pack a bag just for that night and the next day, leave everything else in the car. This way only one bag to deal with. Plan on going to stormalong bay to get a feel of swimming in a chlorinated pool with sand on the bottom.

In the first line, did you mean the parking lot? I love the idea of leaving most of our bags in the rental for the night, especially as we have 15 days of cruising afterwards so will have alot of luggage! Thanks for the tip!

I am not sure if we are going to get to go to the pool, unfortuantely. Our flight gets in around 10:30AM. The plan is to grab the car at MCO, check in at BCV then take a ferry over the DHS. I think our first fast pass is at 1:50PM. We then have 3 quick rides and will head over to Epcot to try to do some stuff there and we have a ADR at Via Napoli @ 8:30. I wish it was EMH at MK that night, if so we would head over there too :)

Then we have to get up first thing in the AM to drive to Fort Lauderdale to catch ship #1 :)

It will be a very quick Disney fix :)

Nope, I meant stormalong bay. Self parking is actually closer to the villas, then the regular hotel rooms. Using Valet parking for the villas is pointless because you will actually walk a lot more.

It is unfortunate you will not be able to make it to the pool, but you should get plenty of water time on your cruise.

Well, there goes that plan out the window!! I was just on the DVC site and noticed there was a BLT Standard View room available for Feb 27 so I cancelled BCV and booked at BLT. Now we will do DHS, Epcot and MK which closes at 12AM. Now if only I could sneak in a few minutes at AK I can say I was at all the parks in 1 day...

I guess I will wait for next time to go to BCV!!

Thank you again for all of your help!!
