First time stay. Some payment questions

I know the experts out there will know the answer! We have a 2 night stay booked for February 2014 prior to our Disney cruise. When we made the reservations at Asm several months ago, I had to pay the first night as a deposit. Will I have to pay for the second night prior to arrival (or should I)?

Also we just got a note this week that the rate changed by 2 whole dollars for our dates. For those of you that have used the AAA discounts in the past, does that lower the rate by much? It is my understanding that those rates are not usually released until about August. Is that correct?

Sounds like you have a room only reservation, so you can just pay the balance at check in.

AAA discounts are typically about 10% I believe. If you have a RO you can add it to your res through Disney (not sure when they're out since I don't use them). If you have a package, you can only get that AAA rate by booking through AAA.

In February, pending your dates/holidays, you'll likely have some kind of room discount that you can apply. The rate changed by 2 dollars when the 2014 rates were finalized. That's normal. As PP stated, if you have a RO (and it sounds like you do) you'll have to pay the balance at check in. You are welcome to pay it prior, but you don't have to.

As the pp said, the balance on the RO is due at check in. You can pay for it ahead of time if you want, but it's not necessary. I usually pay for RO early as I like having everything paid prior to arrival, but that's just me .
