If you are not a member, you cannot find available units for rent. You need to find a member who is "renting" their points. Tell them when and where you to go, number in your party to get the correct size villa and they look. They will ask for money for the reservation, you pay them, they give you a reservation number.

Log in and go to the Rent/Trade Board and find someone renting their points. Respond to their message and go from there. Or contact one of the bookers like David who is a sponsor on these boards.

Being a first timer on DB, you probably did not realize, but "Want to rent..." posts are against the forum rules. Go check out the Rent/Trade board and respond to a DVC member who is offering to rent their points. There is no way for non-members to check DVC availability. If you want a room more than 7 months in the future, you need to find a member who owns at the resort where you want to stay.

If you have no idea which resort or room size you want, you might want to do some homework on that here or at allears.net or similar. Or go poke around in the WDW reservation system for a description of the deluxe resort rooms and amenities.
