First Time Kidani

This will be my first time at Kidani and I'm in a Savanah Studio. Any recommendations on room requests. I hear the walk is long. Is there a specific part of the Savannah I want to be near?

Ask for a room on a lower floor near the Timon or Rafiki elevators. This will put you on the Sunset Savannah (giraffes).

Unfortunately I made that same request both times I was there, and didn't get my request either time-at least from what I thought. The second time I stayed, I even asked at check in "Is this room close to the lobby?" "Oh, yes!" Well, I didn't consider the 4th pod out to be close to the lobby.

Lead request should be Sunset savanna view if you want to see giraffes and Zebras (Pembe savanna has neither). Second request should be either close to the Timon elevator if you want to be closest to bus depot on south wing, or close to Rafiki elevator if you want to have shortest possible trip to pool on north wing.

Note that simply requesting “close to elevator” is a useless request. There are three elevators spread out along each wing and every room in the building is close to an elevator. You need to name the particular elevator you want to be near for the request to mean anything. Also, requesting “close to lobby“ has a high level of disappointment because it is the usual request made by far too many guests, leading to many not getting it.
