First Time in Forever - without FP?

How hard will this be to do without a Fastpass? Especially the first show of the day?

.. like most shows .. I wouldn't waste a Fast Pass on it. It will probably be fine .. but I don't know how big the new theatre is.

Not hard. Arrive 15-25 minutes before, and you will be fine, particularly for the first show of the day. Enjoy!

It shouldn't be difficult. We did use FP for this because my DD really wanted to do it. We were seated right at the front. It is a good size theater. I generally wouldn't use a FP for a show, but there isn't much else that requires a FP at DHS that DD could do so....we used one for that.

It's the Frozen Sing Along. I read somewhere that it will be moving to where AI was, but I'm not sure when. You can check out the details here:

I would recommend a FP. If you watch our video below, you can see how full it was and they had not even started letting standby people in and that was the first show of the day during off peak times, with DHS being the recommended park that day. I think crowd level was a 3 or 4. The only seats left when they finally shut the door on the FP line was the nosebleed section in the back that are bleacher like without backs to the seats. We had an almost identical experience also first show of the day in November as well so I don't think this was a fluke. When we left (again you can see in the video) the standby line for the next show was so long we couldn't see the end of it.

That said, when I was there they had not moved it to the American Idol experience theater. If they have moved it there I'm guessing FP would no longer be needed.

I don't think a FP is necessary, especially for the first show of the day. That might depend on the time of year you go but I still think you'd be fine arriving 15-20 minutes before without a FP!

About 25 min. We had a fastpass for the 7:05 pm show and the window on it was 6:40 - 6:55pm.

FP+ is generally not worth it for live shows (personally IMO it is a waste of a FP), even if it is a popular show, the chances of getting in via standby line for shows are always very high. If you get there for the first show of the day then chances are even greater that you will not only get in but have a decent vantage point.
