My wife and I are WDW vets and have booked DLP for the end of March (Tues - Sun at Hotel NY).

Were flying direct to CDG, got free transfers etc through Disney so looking for hints and tips of what to see and do with our 3 year old DS.

Ive read that WiFi is available free in McDonalds - is it good enough for Skype ? Can you get broadband in the rooms ?

Cheers

J

We had our first trip in September with our DS age 3 to HNY, it was great.

He especially loved Buzz Lightyear ride, Peter Pan, Pinnochio, Pirates ride in the main park, when there at Christmas we also took him to Phantom Manor, he was a wee bit unsure at one bit but thought it was funny.

At the Studios, he loved Stitch Live, Animagique, Cars ride and slinky dog, he actually enjoyed the Studio Tram Tour as well which I wasn't sure he would like.

The Buffalo Bill Show was another thing he enjoyed that I wasn't sure about and he loved Cafe Mickey in September with the characters but wouldn't go near a single character in December. just goes to show..... Someone advised to leave character dining until we'd been there for a couple of days to let the wee one get used to them, good advice....

Hope you have a great time.

We have been taking DS since he was 3 and he has loved it everytime. At 3 he loved Pirates, Peter Pan and Its a Small World. He wouldn't go anywhere near the characters for a long time, and at 3 a character meal would have been a scream fest! We did breakfast in fantasyland one day and lots of the characters were coming out onto the park as we were still eating, and we had to finish very quickly! We went to Alice's Labarynth and the pirate playground for some chillout time - as they can get a bit overloaded. They now show old Disney cartoons in Videopolis where you can get food, and this is a good place for 30 minutes respite for you all (or if there's a shower) as there is a lot of seating.

We didn't take a buggy but I wish we had as there is a LOT of walking and event though DS was very up for it he was shattered by the evening (he fell asleep in Pizza Planet one day!) I'd think about taking a cheap/ old one that doesn't matter if it gets lost.

Sorry can't help with the wi-fi question. Have a great time.

Wifi @ Mcdonalds is free, only used it for my smartphone, it was easy to connect and connection was strong, noticed quite a few laptops in use, probably because wifi is charged for at the hotels. wifi credit is available from hotel reception and all HNY rooms have wifi, think i paid around 10 euros for a couple of hiurs credit.
HNY is a lovely hotel, my favourite :)

Thanks for the info !

Brummig we are taking a buggy as while our DS is at the taller end of the spectrum for his age and can walk for ages without problem I suspect the odd nap may be in order during long park days.

Anyone gone to the Val D'Europe shopping centre ? Im sure I read that there was a free shuttle bus that runs from the DLP resorts ? If so anyone used it ? We're planning a few hours there on the Wednesday afternoon when the parks etc get busier.

Thanks !!

J

the val deurope centre is just a one train stop away. i havent been there but my mam has and she said they had good bargains, also cheaper places to eat as well.

the free shuttles will take you from the park to your hotel
