My fiancee and I are planning on camping at Ft. Wilderness in October and I am confused about the different campsites. We want to tent camp, we sure wish we had a pop-up camper... When we looked at registration for sites online it only seemed to offer the pop-up camper or RV sites. This will be a post-wedding trip for just the two of us so does anyone have any suggestions on things that we can do? We plan on going to the Food and Wine Festival, and we are even wanting to do MNSSHP! Any advice would we greatly appreciated! We both love camping and have done it before, just never at Disney.

You can tent camp at any type of site at FW. Partials have electric and water, full hookups have electric, water and sewer, preferreds have electric, water, sewer and cable/internet access, all campsites are conveniently located near bath houses and bus stops.

Try doing the Haunted Hayride, don't miss the Electric Water Parade and the MK fireworks from the beach, of course there's the campfire program. There are also lots of trails to walk and explore and you can even walk a trail to the WL.

Have fun!

If available, I would go for a partial hookup site. They have the largest "sand pad" areas to set up tents and spread out. The full hookup and preferred sites tend to have more asphalt driveways for bigger MHs and TTs and less sand area.

Loop 1500 is a great loop for location, Loop 2000 is a little isolated, but very peaceful and they have huge sand areas for multiple tents.

Hoop Dee Doo! Also, I'd suggest either bringing bikes or renting a golf cart for a day for sightseeing. Also, a carriage ride would be very romantic for you two newlyweds

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. You've already received the best advise already on the loops imho! Have fun, camping at FW is the best. Since you're experienced campers, you'll love the luxury of camping at FW! :goodvibes

Thanks for the congratulations! We were both shocked when we read how many people bring crock pots camping! We have camped before at National Parks, but I think this might well become a tradition of ours as well. When you went with the kids did you stay in a camper? Just curious if they wanted to tent camp, not sure my girls would do it all night after hearing frogs! :rotfl:

congrats!my advice to you on the halloween party would be to get ur tickets early do the same for the hayride because they sell out very quick!i went on the hayride last year and it was awesome i dont know if it was worth the $15 bucks i paid for it cause it only last for about 15 to 20 mins but hey its only a once a year type thing so go for it if u want to splurge a little!

Enjoy!!! My wife and I tent camped in FW for our first visit together. You will have a wonderful time and be amazed to see that FW is unlike any other campground that you may have encountered. :)

P.S. Word of advice...bring a good fan. ;)
