First Time doing SW Early bird check in

Do I still have to do online check in 36 hours prior? Do I have to do anything at 36 hours? If not, when and how i get my boarding pass?

you don't have to do anything @ 36 hrs. Any time AFTER 24 hrs, you can print your boarding passes (the letter/# will already have been assigned) in any way that's convenient for you. You can wait until you get to the airport if you want - makes no difference. We used it only returning home so we didn't have to interrupt our play time and our boarding passes were hanging on our door the morning we checked out so we literally had to do NOTHING!!

After the 24 hr mark, you can go to the Concierge desk at POFQ with your confirmation number and they will print your boarding pass for you....or as previously mentioned, you can just go to the self serve kiosks near the Southwest check-in area and print your boarding pass there.

edited to add that we did the EB check-in twice now and our boarding pass numbers have always been less than 20.
