All,

Long time DLP lurker, first time poster to the DLP board.

Background - we're DVC members (BCV) who have been both to Disney World and Disneyland (CA). We are arriving DLP the middle of this week for 3 nts / 4 days.

Questions that (I hope) are easy for the learned-DLP veterans (as the ressie line is closed now) -

1.) Are there coin-operated, self-serve laundry facilities at the Disneyland Hotel? If not at DLH, are there coin-operated laundry facilities at one of the other (nearby) hotels (HNY, Sequioa, etc.)? Worst case - are there "paid" laundry services available at DLH, and does anyone have a recent pricelist or price recollection?

We're travelling for 6 days with DD8 and DS5, but we (I) don't want to have to carry 72 pieces of luggage to accomodate (sp) all of the changes of clothes that DW believes is necessary. Plus I don't want to pay the baggage fees to check the 72 pcs.

2.) Assigned breakfast times? There were recent posts that DLH will "assign" a breakfast time for the included breakfast. We have not been asked - a priori - what time we would like, so this was a bit of a shock. One of the reasons we are staying on-site is to take advantage of the EMH, but I don't want to have to back-track to the hotel to eat for an arbitrary assignment of breakfast eating start times.

3.) Does anyone have the most current "Half-board" prices? I get conflicting amounts - both in per person, per day Euro terms, and in total USD expense - I just need the base adult / child per day amounts, and I can do the currency conversion. My DW does NOT eat a lot, and the DD/DS may not, so it appears the "Half-board" may not a good value for us since I believe it has to be purchased for the "length of stay". Current prices and thoughts?

4.) EzyShuttle was booked for this week, and John recommended Prestige Shuttle (which I booked) - anyone used this service, and have specific thoughts on them? Corrollary question - what is the best way to return to CDG airport from "downtown" Paris (near the Louvre / Halles D'Temps; L'Hotel Paris)? Remember - children, luggage, and me (a tired father, by then) RER? Book another car service?

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance that you might be able to impart.

All,

1.) Are there coin-operated, self-serve laundry facilities at the Disneyland Hotel? If not at DLH, are there coin-operated laundry facilities at one of the other (nearby) hotels (HNY, Sequioa, etc.)? Worst case - are there "paid" laundry services available at DLH, and does anyone have a recent pricelist or price recollection? - There is a self service laundry at the Hotel Cheyenne. You can easily hop there using the shuttle bus. I think the DLH will have a laundry service, but can't help with prices, sorry.

I'm not aware of set times for DLH. However at the other hotels even if there are set times, no-one seems to adhere to them. I would not worry about this at all.

It used to be good value, but I think that unless you will eat a starter, main and dessert at each meal, you would probably be cheaper to just eat what you fancy. And yes, you need to have it for each person in your party for the entire length of your stay. Current prices £26 per adult and £11 per child.

- sorry can't help with this

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance that you might be able to impart.

Hope this is of some help, and that you all enjoy your time at DLP :goodvibes

Welcome to the DLP site

I can answer a couple of questions for you

There is a laundrette at Hotel Cheyenne (about 10 minute walk away) which is for all hotel guests to use.

The DLH doesnt give breakfast slots - you can just go when you want. However it is so close to the parks that doing EMH and then returning for breakfast about 10.00 is quite nice to do - its surprising how much hungrier you are after a couple of hours in the park

Thank you all - it looks like I'm carrying the "72 bags" since carrying them and paying the bag fees to check them on the airline will be cheaper than having to pay Disney to wash a couple of socks, etc.

ONE MORE QUESTION - PLEASE - did France move "forward" in Daylight Savings Time this weekend like the U.S. did? I'm trying to gauge if the Continent will be 6 or 7 hours ahead in time (GMT+5 or +6) relative to us.

Thanks,

Kurt

France is 1 hour ahead of UK time if that helps :goodvibes

Hi :)

We've not had our DST for spring yet. Wich I think means that the rest of Eurpose hasn't either.

Our favourite part of staying at the DLH was going to EMH and then back to the hotel for breakfast. If you in the Disneyland Parc then it's the same distance wise as eating at Tony's Town Square in MK - or if you're in the Studios Park then it's like going from DCA to Main Street station at DLR. you're never going to be more than 5 minutes. We figure why have breakfast at 7am when we aren't that hungry when we can work up an appetite for 2 hours during EMH and then hit the buffet!

Also during EMH at dlrp it's only fantasyland and tomorrow land that are open. So you'll likely have done everything you want to do by 9:30am. Then you can get breakfast and hop to the other park if you want to.

Have a great trip.

We move forward in 2 weeks so atm and until Sunday the 25th we are EDT +5, CDT+6, MDT+7 and PDT+8 :thumbsup2

Sorry to jump in but has anyone anymore details on the laundrette? While I really don't want to spend precious holiday time washing clothes, we are attempting to travel with only 3 pieces of hand luggage and two kids under 5 so it might be a necessity

Would also like to hear more on this!
Can I dry my clothes here too? I have a hatred for tumble driers but 10 days away with only one big suitcase does not leave me with any options but to avail of these facilities too. Im bad at packing lightly
