Hello everyone I'm going to Disneyland in October for the first time what should I must see and what should I skip? And what week in October us good for visiting? And how long is the diamond anniversary?

The Diamond Anniversary does not yet have a hard end date. It is expected to be going on for the rest of this year and probably into next year.

You will be at Disneyland during Halloween Time. Skim down the first page of the Halloween Time at DLR Superthread to get a sense of what to expect in terms of activities, food, decorations, etc. - http://www.disboards.com/threads/ha...iting-info-about-halloween-time-2015.3270919/

^^I will change the references to the 2014 dates and info on page 1 when we finally get some info about 2015's Halloween Time season. Feel free to jump in and join us in the Superthread at any time!

This thread by figment_jii will give you a good idea of what is going on at Disneyland or in the area in October, which might indicate which weeks or days will be busiest - http://www.disboards.com/threads/2015-calendar-of-events-school-breaks-and-dlr.3358090/

Hi,

In My option, here are the must do's at Disnland for visiting the first time
Peter pan
Alice and Wonderland
Its a small World
Buzz Lightyear Astro-blasters
Star Tours
Haunted Mansion
Pinocchio's Daring Journey
Pirates of the Caribbean
Storybook Land Canal boats

Please note that I do not go on roller coasters so that is why there are no big thrill rides on this lists.

In Disney's California Adventure the must do's in my opinion for a first time visitor are:
Radiator Racers in Cars Land
Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
Aladdin- A Musical Spectacular
Toy Story Midway Mania
World Of Color Show

Things that I think you could skip in Disneyland
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island

In California Adventure I think you can skip:
All of A Bug's Land

For the month of October, it can be crowded because of the Halloween Holiday. I would recommend going the beginning of October or the middle of October.

I am not sure when the Diamond Celebration is going to end. sorry.

Let me know if you have any other questions I can help you with, it would be my pleasure. Have a great time and make sure you get A first time visit button!

In terms of the 60th anniversary, Disney has not yet announced a formal end date to the celebration. The best guess is that the majority of the celebration will run through the first quarter of 2016 at least, but the exact length is not yet known. The new fireworks, parade, and WoC will likely run for years (e.g., the 50th Anniversary fireworks was the main show up through last year). Disney does not roll out new fireworks or parades very often, so both of those are likely to last for years. WoC seems easier to change, so that show might undergo more frequent revisions/modifications/additions/etc.

In terms of October, the biggest things to be aware of are Gay Days (first weekend) and Columbus Day/CHOC Walk weekend (second weekend). Both of those tend to result in very high crowds in the parks, primarily on the weekends (Fri-Sun). The other thing to note about October is that the entertainment schedule is generally reduced. F! and fireworks are often only on the weekends (Fri*, Sat, and Sun). So if you wanted to see either of those shows, you'll need to plan at least a few weekend days. WoC is usually daily. It's been a long while since they've had at true nighttime parade, so we don't yet know what kind of schedule Paint the Night will follow once the summer season ends. (*There won't be any fireworks for the general public on Friday nights if there is a Mickey's Halloween Party in DL. Likewise, there will be no F! if there is a MHP in DL.)

For my first visit, I wouldn't miss scheduling a character meal. You have to eat anyway and this way you are guaranteed time with your favorite characters. And you'll get lots of fun pictures.
