Hi,

I want to know the steps for booking port and onboard activities when my window opens up. Being a newbie, I don't want to miss anything.

Thanks!

You need to access your reservation on-line. Once you get that far, it's pretty self-explanatory. I assume you know that your window will open 75 days before your cruise.

Don't know how long your cruise is or where to, but don't over-plan it. Let some of the magic come to you. If you have a short 3-4 day cruise, just getting used to the ship, your stateroom, meal/show routines and sorting out the Navigator's schedule of loads of activities is enough to enjoy. You will just get started when they push you off the ship. We have been on 8 DCL cruises and don't try to cram everything into each one. We add some time to relax. Perhaps Captain Hook will come up behind you and tap you on the shoulder, making you jump...great fun! (Happened to my wife on one of our Caribbean cruises.)
Have a great time!

Your check-in window should be opening in a few days. You need to work out what is most important for you to do - check-in and get your port arrival time, or book your port excursions. Even at 90 days out we couldn't get all the excursions we wanted, so going in at 75 days out you might find less available for you. Once you are in and adding activities, you can either search for all days, or go into each individual day and book what you need to for each location. Just remember, add one thing to your cart and confirm it before you move onto the next thing. For some reason, the system is not very good a handling multiple activities at once! I had to go back and add a couple of things because I had a few things booked for one day and didn't confirm in between each one.

Some activities may already be sold out, but will have additional availability once on board on embarkation day. Things like the Frozen and Princess Meet and Greets normally have on-board availability. Our last cruise we did not know you could book Frozen in advance, and when we found out (about 30 days out) everything was already sold out. But we went straight to the appropriate desk once we boarded (details are on the navigator that you get at check-in) and were able to secure tickets without too much issue.
