I'm very nervous about getting DAS for the first time for myself and my twins. They'll be almost 2.5 years old when we go to WDW at the end of January/Beginning of February. I've never asked about it before bc I couldn't stomach the idea of talking to someone at Guest Services and trying to "prove" my need. (Also bc I was late diagnosed, but that's another thing altogether.) Wellll, now I have twin toddlers and they have similar issues as I do when standing in lines- typically sensory things, like seeking, overload or like the sensation of when someone is just TOO CLOSE to me. I think we could get by with strollers as wheelchairs for them in a lot of cases.
Anyway, I'm looking at doing the advance DAS with the video chat bc that feels less anxiety provoking than in-person, but only a little less. I know they have to be present on the call to get it for the kids, but all that I've read about wait times makes me anxious that I'd finally get a person and my kids would be napping (they require A LOT more sleep than other kiddos their age).
I guess my question is- can I get DAS for all three of us in one call? Or should I just get it for myself? But if I just get it for myself, does that change our ability to get strollers as wheelchair tags? (My husband and mom are coming on this trip too- so it won't just be me and twin toddlers.)
This is all new territory for me and it's making me spiral about a trip that is still months away. (Hyperfocus on a vacation is usually a FUN thing for me, but this is so wildly different and it's making me so anxious.)
If any of you have advice, or you know, solidarity- I'd really appreciate it.
