I've tried searching this but am still a little unclear on the answer. I sent my requests to shoreside yesterday and I can already see some of them in my activities on the dcl website. I can see everything but the cabana I requested. Does that mean I didn't get one or is that something we find out about at the 120 day mark? I know it's not a guarantee but I was sure to send the request right at midnight. The curiosity is killing me!

Typically, you'll find that out at the 120 day mark. As that's when the actual reservation is made.

Caution note ... your cabana will still show as "available" though it is not. Don't get excited and think it's open for other people to reserve. It isn't.

This is true! Happened to me for our cruise last month on the Fantasy. I didn't book until late May this year and was surprised to see 1 lonely cabana remaining (okay, and the giant family one), so I grabbed it. When logging in later to my activities and checking on availability, "my" cabana just kept showing up! I could not figure that out, so I asked here on the Dis and sure enough, when I logged in it showed up, but it would not show up for anyone ELSE. :thumbsup2

It seems this might have changed at least according to posts on DCL Concierge FB group I belong to. Folks are reporting that they are seeing confirmation of their Concierge requests as early as 124 days and their Cabana requests at the 121 day mark. I'll see for myself in November when I make my own requests. No Cabana, though, because its a West Coast cruise.

For some reason you can see everything you've requested EXCEPT the Cabana. I have no idea why. Just went through this in September. I wonder if they're still assigning numbers and that's why they don't put those in right away when they put everything else in?

Yes, I can see all my other plans. Just no cabana. So, hopefully I'll see one there in a few days! Thanks for letting me know you had the same experience.

Maybe. Anyway, its nice to know that at least some Concierge requests are being handled before the booking window opens up for everyone else.

I was told be shoreside concierge that the cabana assignments were entered in a different system and that is why they didn’t show up in the activities screen until later. He said what you see prior to the 120 days is the requests that have been made by shoreside on your behalf and they are not confirmed until the 120 mark when the system books them.

Also as a general heads up to people, I had a minor scare today re: a Cabana. They are apparently NOT showing in linked reservations as they have in the past. I tend to travel with the same family and we both put in for the Grand Cabana hoping one of us will get it. She got it last time and it showed up on my reservation list as something for our party. I went in today (it was our 120 mark) and didn't see the cabana listed but I did see all her spa stuff. I called shoreside and we *DO* have the double-wide but it will now ONLY show on her reservation.

Hopefully this tidbit of info will help someone else not have a mini first-world problem heart attack.
