1. Is the resort super huge that I will feel overwhelmed? From the map on allears it looks like a massive resort, bigger than the values and mods that we have stayed at.

2. Is there a certain area that is quieter than others?

3. Is there a certain building that is near a quiet pool?

4. Is there a hot tub next to the quiet pools?

The entire resort is very quiet. It's like a small community.

There are hot tubs at each of the leisure pools. And there are three leisure pools, South Point, Turtle Pond and Miller's Road. If you have a one bedroom or larger, you get a large jacuzzi tub in your villa.

Pop Century - with almost 3,000 rooms - is more than 4 times as large as OKW.

I think the poster was asking about the foot-print of the resort, not the number of rooms. OKW is huge, as far as how much land is involved. It's all pretty quiet and private, as it was designed to be 'vacation homes' not standard hotels like the other Disney resorts. It has a very relaxing and homey atmosphere, which is helpful when on vacation.

My DH and kids LOVE OKW because they do not get overwhelmed. It does not feel like a hotel or have a stimulating atmosphere at all. They get upset when I book other resorts because they love turtle pond road...:thumbsup2

DW and I love OKW. As has been said, it is a very quiet, relaxing, and fun resort. It is a great place to go after a busy day in the parks. It truly feels like you are home.

In terms of size, it is big, but completely walkable. There is also an internal bus. Try OKW, you won't regret it.

This is our very favorite DVC because it is so quiet, especially after a busy day at the parks. While the resort is big, it's not overwhelming at all, at least not to us. I think it looks a lot bigger on the map than it really is.

Also due to the non-hotel design, there seems to be less noise once you are in your villa, as in you don't hear everyone going up and down the hall to their own rooms.

OKW is our favorite!
OKW is like a spread out neighborhood of vacation townhomes. Each building is 2-3 stories and will include 1 bedroom/studio lock offs, 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom villas that are walk ups or walk ins from the parking are right outside your door. This gives a nice secluded vacation home feel IMO. The villas are the largest in the DVC system, and have huge master baths and very large great rooms and fully appointed kitchens with full sized appliances. There is also a complete laundry room with full size washer and dryer (not stackables). There is a large covered balcony that includes a dining table, 4 chairs and a ceiling fan. The balcony is accessed from both the living room and the master bedroom. The studios are lock offs from the second bedroom in some units, and will have 2 queen beds, a large closet, a huge full bath and a kitchenette/sink area that will include a microwave, fridge, coffe maker and toaster as well as some plastic and paper table ware. There is a small table with two chairs and a large balcony for the studio rooms as well.

There are 3 neighborhood pools on site, and a larger main pool that has a new sand castle slide. Each pool area includes a childs play area and a laundry for those who are staying in the studios (full size villas have their laundry room in the villa).

Bus service is excellent to all the parks, and there are 5 bus stops located throughout the resort.

OKW, may be big, but do not worry it is spread out. It is a very relaxing resort and you will not feel overcrowded. I would say if you a looking for quiet (not that it is noisy there) the further back would be more like being in a quiet development. I think you will love it and once there, you will realize it is nothing like any other resorts. I don't know if you only looked at a map lay out, but why don't you go on the web and take a virtual tour. It may give you a better feel for OKW:goodvibes.
