First time at moderate resort

A few times we have been in a similar situation where deluxe rates weren't in the budget. Once we stayed at CBR. The size didn't bother me, however, We stayed in building 45 Jamaica (right by the walkway to the food court). We also had a car.
My kid loved the pool. Everything was fine and I felt the resort was a good bang for the buck. We had an awesome time at Disney.
It was not as nice as the WL or Poly and Honestly I preferred CSR for a moderate.
We will probably not be back because I'd rather try something new.

We have stayed at all the mods, and while CBR is nice, it is our least favorite. We had a great location in building 45 Jamaica, but we had really bad luck with bus service, which kind of ruined it for us. I also had heard the pool was awesome, but really didn't care for it. I prefer the one at CSR or POR.

I stayed at CBR for W&D last year. The resort is huge, but there are bus stops close to most of the buildings. I stayed in Aruba and it was a minute walk to the bus station. And this was awesome since the mornings are such early starts for the runs. It wasn't my favorite Mod, but I have no complaints.

I just got back from POR and loved it. I have stayed at CSR and loved it. I plan to stay at CBR this year and I hope I will love it. My least favorite experiences staying at Disney have actually been deluxe (BC) and villa (Polynesian). On the other hand, I loved my stays at BWI and AKLV. Yes, like others have indicated, I do sometimes miss the balcony when at a moderate and the convenience of getting to a park, but I get over it--the moderates have clean, decent sized rooms--bathrooms are a bit tight, but, again, you get over it. My next trip, I have YC for 5 nights and am thinking about 5 additional at CBR, but may put it off until my December trip--I also haven't stayed at the CR, GF, and POFQ--hope to do all at some point in the next few years. Many people out there rave about BC and Poly Villas, so my advice to anyone when wondering about any Disney resort is book, go, and see for yourself. Have a fabulous time no matter what you do!
