First Time At Disneyland

So what's your personal opinion? Is RNRC better then CS? Or vice-versa? Love people's opinions. :D
RnR is better because it's theming is outstanding. It tells a story. It connects you with Aerosmith.

Screamin is a fun coaster but lacks any story at all. A mistake by Disney standards - a mediocre coaster by Six Flags and Cedar Fair standards - a fun challenge for Disney guests who avoid thrill coasters like Six Flags but want to push their personal envelope to a fast, looped coaster.

But RnR is much better IMO.

Now all of that excites me. Especially that it won't be that crowded. :D

I'll just be honest, we weren't really planning on going to DCA a ton. Mainly because I've heard so many negative things about DCA. I am looking forward to forming my own opinion, however. :) Hopefully all of the negative hype is just people complaining on the internet. (America's favorite past time.) But I plan on seeing the World of Color multiple times!

Correction: We have three day tickets, not four. My bad.

If you miss DCA your missing some fun.

Jack

Anything I should be sure to do at DCA in particular? Besides Screamin', of course.

We like ToT, Soarin, Screamin, GRR, TSM, MWoD to name a few. Not to forget Muppets, Anamation Academy, and Monsters Inc. We really enjoy DCA.

Jack

You need to see Aladdin! :thumbsup2
Also check out the Blue Sky cellar for the upcoming attractions to DCA. It will make you definitely want to visit the DL resort again!

Have fun! Oh and Grizzly River Rapids has the edge over Kali. :thumbsup2

Also wanted to comment about Space. DL's version was closed for 2 years for refurbs. That was a long time, but it was well worth it. You will know why once you have gone on it. :cool1:

Have a blast! :woohoo:

I was totally getting that impression, hahaha. How much better in your opinion?

Less then one week!

I used to like Kali River Rapids a lot, because compared to rafting rides in other theme parks it has richer themeing and a big drop.

Then I rode Grizzly River Rapids. It feels quite a bit longer and exciting, partly because it has lot of turns, twists and two drops. So after GRR, KRR feels like a one drop wonder.

Good to see a WDW'r that has kept an open mind! :thumbsup2 So many have formed an opinion, before they have experienced the DLR magic!! I hope you have a fabulous visit and enjoy every moment! I guarantee you will want to come back!

Lots! At AK we are fine skipping KRR. But at DCA we have to ride it multiple times. Especially in the summer. :)

Last year we were very unhappy that we could not ride GRR as much as we wanted to because of the WOC FP situation. It really knocks the heat down when we are there in August and it is a short trip to the room if we need to change.

But of course! I am just so excited. :D

So, question. First time in Disneyland. What is the first attraction we should do in your opinion? For me it's a tie between Indy and Space Mountain. Any separate suggestions?

Peter Pan. Believe it or not it is the first ride most everyone goes on.

D:

Seriously?

Pete Pan always has at the least a 45 minute wait here. But I've seen it go to over 100 as well.
LOL! Seriously!

Go there first, along with some of the other Fantasyland attractions that WDW does not have.

Then venture over to Space and Indy, and grab Fastpasses. :thumbsup2

can't wait for our trip...loving this thread,it ups the anticipation big time! we're WDW vets too,I think the fam is doubtful about how great DL could be....... but we're going to be there for a week!

Peter Pan if you have kids in tow. Other wise Indy.

If you are visiting during Morning Magic then the choice is Space or Peter Pan as only FL and TL open for MM.

But if you go on a MM day but can't part in MM, Space and Peter Pan will both have long waits when the regular guests enter. This can make them get on them while you still can, or go to Adventureland since there are no lines in there.

Glad you're excited! :)

Hopefully as much as I am, if it's possible!

No really young kids, just my 13 year old brother, mom, 10 year old sister, and grandmother. :)

No MM, unfortunately. Staying off resort. But regardless, I'm sure we'll have time for everything we want to do.

Two questions off the top of my head...

Is Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin enjoyable/good? I really enjoy the characters, so I'm hoping it is.

Any particular restaurants I should be sure to see? (Top 3, perhaps?)
