We're coming to CA for the first time in 24 days. We live in NY, so we go to DisneyWorld twice a year. I know there's a big difference, but we all love Disney, and wanted to visit where it all started. Don't want to do comparisons, but what do we have to see that absolutely can't be duplicated in Florida? We're also going to San Diego Zoo, as I'm a big Zoo person (have been to Frankfurt, London, Washington, Bronx Zoos). Anything in particular we should try to see? Thanks, and have a great day. :) Joan

Hi Joan, welcome to the DLR board. Here's the primer for WDW vets visiting DLR:

& here's another thread that identifies the differences between WDW & DLR:

A few quick thoughts & tips:

- Get to the DL turnstiles 30-40 min. early each day. Tour & collect FPs the first 2 hours in less crowded bliss.

- Hop to DCA each day for 2-4 hours either before or after your mid day break.

- Give DLR 2 nights/3 days minimum & stay on site or on Harbor BLVD within walking distance.

- Read each of the tip threads in HydroGuy's collection of Tip Threads...& then read them again. :)

- The castle is really small....no...I mean smaller than you will ever imagine....don't look for it when you walk in....but it's pretty & quaint & the original....not a McMansion in a swamp. ;)

- After you review the attached threads, post again specific questions on what rides & attractions you're interested in, how many days, ages of family members etc.....& you'll get alot of responses.

Have a great time visiting Walt's Park. :thumbsup2
