Hi DISers,

I just booked my trip for next fall! :) We are staying at Coronado Springs Resort for the first time. Does anyone have any advice, tips, or favorite things about the resort to share? I stayed at POFQ last time and loved it, but I was very frustrated by the bus service and the numerous stops. Does Coronado Springs share a bus route?

Anything and everything is appreciated! I am so excited! :)

Nope. They have 4 stops within Coronado Springs but it does not share with any other resorts.

We stayed there for the first time in Feb. and we LOVED it!!!

Some people have said that it is too large or has to many convention’ears’... but we did not think so. With the total amount of time and distance you walk at disney it was nothing.:confused3

It was wonderful, we stayed in the Casita building. It was great, every morning we walked to El Centro to grab breakfast then hopped on the bus at the front door. We never waited more than 10 mins for a bus to get there, and the same thing for getting back to the hotel... never had any issues with the busses.
We will defiantly be going back, I may be a little bias because we also go engaged while we were there :goodvibes on the bridge across the water at night, it was beautiful.
This is where we plan on going back to for our honeymoon.

Congratulations kmarie!!! We went on our honeymoon to WDW in November. (My husband is also from Wisconsin, btw.) :)

Thanks, we are excited to go back in April for the honeymoon. We are not going until the end of April. Hopefully with Easter being at the very begining of April it will not be as crowded.

We were there 8-15 October. Loved the resort. Highly recommend Casitas 4. We were right at Bus Stop 2 which is actually the FIRST stop for all buses picking up for the parks and dropping off from the parks. Also, each section has its own pool in addition to the main pool and the pool for the Casitas section is right at Casitas 4. About a 5 minute walk to El Centro thru the Casitas buildings. Mousekeeping was great for our entire stay. Had a room with 2 queen beds. Plenty of room for a family of 4.

Stayed there back in 08 and we loved it as well. I would have to look at which building we stayed in can't remember but it was way in the back. It was near a bus stop so that was good, far from the lobby though, but we only went down there to eat once and shop. Pool was nice!! You will love it too!!

You can find photos and a lot of CSR fans at the current CSR FAQ thread here and also at last year's thread here.

CSR is our favorite moderate by far and one of our favorite resorts at WDW at any level.

Stayed there in November (thanksgiving day thru early december)... Loved it!!! Stayed in the Casita section... very convenient area.

You are going to love it! I have stayed there 3 times and it has always been awesome with great bus service.

My husband and I have stayed at the CSR nine times (with and without kids) and we love everything about it. We were supposed to be there in September for our tenth stay, but due to some very nice "pixie dust" from friends, we were able to try two DVC resorts in September. However, the CSR will ALWAYS be our "home away from home."

Hi DISers,

Coronoado Springs doesn't share a bus with another resort, but it does have mulitiple stops itself. Four of them. So it really won't be much different than staying at POFQ, on the occasions that POFQ shares a bus with POR. I've stayed at both resorts, and the bus service was pretty darned similar.

Can I offer a word of advice? Don't pick a resort based on the expectation of better bus service. Every resort on Disney property can have hiccups in their bus service. A sure way to be disappointed in your resort is to pick it for the bus service, becasue that is when Murphy's Law will grab a hold and make the resort you are at suffer a hicup. Pick the resort that appeals to you most over-all.
