First time at CBR!

Really panicking at the moment, WDW was an annual trip for my family up until my last visit in 2014 and I've never gone this long without having another trip planned, so I've taken matters into my own hands and have decided to book next year for my Girlfriend and I (I don't think I have had anything to do with the planning ever!). I was looking for a bit of information to put my mind at ease. So it will be my first visit to CBR and I will be visiting in October 2016. Not completely sold by this resort yet. I've stayed at Saratoga and from what I can see the bus loop is similar; is this the case? I've booked a preferred room, does anybody know how busy the busses will be on average by time they get to our bus stop? As a preferred room, am I guarenteed to be close to the main building, or does this just mean I'll be close to a pool? How does the size of the resort compare to Saratoga (just so I have a rough idea, the map makes the resort look huge!). Also a tiny bit irrelavent to this board but what will the crowds be like for the first 2 weeks in October? I live in the UK so I'm not sure when schools in the USA are closed in October.

1. The buses in July are not that bad. Without knowing which resort buildings you are in it is hard to say how crowded they will be, but we have never had an issue except on Christmas Day.
2. Nothing is guaranteed, but unless you get Trinidad South, you should be no further than a 5-7 minute walk. The size of the resort is exaggerated greatly. If you take out Trinidad South, the resort is the exact same footprint as POR.
3. The size is not bad. I am 52 and my wife is 51. Even with our ailments we can walk the resort with no problem.
4. Schools start at the end of August. October will be great. Cooler weather, smaller crowds, and still the small chance for rain, but a great time to go.

It is a beautiful resort, my daughter did a Pirate Adventure thing there and I fell in love with it. Your going to have a great time!
