First time at Beach Club...1BR...what kind of view should I request?

Staying at Beach Club for the first time in early September. Have 3 boys ages 6,4 and 2...what kind of view should I request for a 1 bedroom? Is it even worth it to request one? Or should I be more concerned with access to the buses and/or Epcot.

Won't have a car...any advice is welcome for the view or the resort itself.

Hi There! I know there are maps with room numbers somewhere on the boards here for Beach Club. We had heard it could be noisy with pool views so we've always asked for Epcot/woods view. They'll say there isn't technically an Epcot view but we've caught some of the fireworks at times. I just didn't want to be in a room near the road if possible. Beach Club is our favorite resort and our kids were the same ages as yours staying there. Stormalong bay is large and you will probably want to walk them to the slide entrance as they have to leave the pool area to access the stairs. This can be nerve racking for some folks. They played for long periods of time in the sand area. Beautiful resort!! Walk to Epcot is a breeze and the kids would love the boardwalk area. Especially in the evening when the performers are out. Short walk to beach club from there. Have fun!!

BCV's isn't known for it's views. A pool view is the only view that I would request.

We stayed last year with our then 3 and 4 year olds in a 1 bedroom (staying there this June again too). I called and requested an Epcot view. There is a road there but we had the best view of the ball with fireworks nightly to the right of us. We loved it. I woke up one morning to my oldest standing at the sliding door just looking at the ball in awe- great memory.

We also got two separate dormer balconies b/c we were on the top floor- one for the living room and one for the bedroom- very quiet and private.

It was a bit of a walk to the elevator but worth it to us.

This is our favorite of the DVC resorts- walking distance to Epcot is great- we actually like to walk through Epcot and take the monorail to MK instead of taking the bus but we love to walk.

The pool is wonderful for kids- the pool restaurant is very good- the kid's meals come with sand buckets and shovels to play with in the sand. If the pool is too overwhelming for your family go to the pirate ship. There is a little pool in it with a little slide- great for the 2 year old. We didn't do this last year but are very excited for the roasting marshmallows and movie night on the beach.

We have stayed there several times and had pool views which I found pretty pleasant. We went last year and decided to try a woods view and while I vaguely recall seeing some EPCOT fireworks if we craned our head a certain way, I STRONGLY recall the really loud noise from the service road below us. It was not peaceful in any way. There is constant traffic moving through it. We really didn't sit on our balcony much because of that. If I were to stay there again I would go back to a pool view.

Another consideration is to perhaps be closer to the hotel portion of Beach Club because if you plan to go to SAB a lot, it's kind of a haul for many of the villa rooms.

We do enjoy this resort, but we like to mix it up because every resort has its pro's and con's! The con's that I feel BCV have is that the rooms are smallish, views are not great, SAB is far from most rooms in the villas, and in general, the rooms seem a little dated and worn (at least the last time we went) but the pro's are very good: SOOO close to EPCOT, nice theming, close to parking (car) if you have one, SAB, and I just have to say it again, EPCOT, EPCOT, EPCOT. Can't beat that location!!!! Especially if you plan to spend a lot of time at EPCOT.

Agreed that views are not great at BCV - we got lucky twice and had epcot/partial epcot views. If you like a little bit of action, then request quiet pool views. If you like peace and quiet, ask for the woods.
