First time at BCV in May

Hi! We are going to Disney May 9-18 staying at the BCV for the first time. We have been to Disney many times but this will be the first time at BCV. I would love to hear your thoughts on a studio at BCV. I also would love some suggestions, ideas on travelling with a 22 month old. The last time we came to Disney she was only 9 months old so it wasn't that bad. Also, I know that you can fax a shopping list and they will have the stuff ready when you arrive. Do you recommend this? Will they pick up things that are not on their list like diapers? I really appreciate any feedback.

The studios are very spacious; I can't say if this is a fact, but BCV studios seem a lot bigger than typical Disney deluxe resorts (I'm thinking back to my trips at the YC and Contemporary). I would even venture to say that BCV studios feel less cluttered than a BCV 1 br villa.

As a warning.. When we brought our 2 year old to Disney last year we were completely taken by surprise at her ability to bolt from us and lose us. Thank god for the alert maintenance staff at BCV for knowing enough to bring her to the front desk. This was never a problem at home, so I think the whole Disney experience just sort of awakened this new behavior in her.

I can't imagine how much it would cost to have Disney do your shopping for you, but I have to guess that it is probably double than what you would pay at a Publix grocery store outside the park. If you do not intend to rent a car then maybe you are forced to go with this luxury. If you to intend to rent a car then it would be worth going to the Publix store.

Hi, We will be at the BCV May 6-16th...we're bringing our 2 grown kids & their spouses, and 5 (gulp) grandkids. We almost always bring grandkids...the key to it all is getting a stroller. It helps to keep track of them, hauls all the stuff you need to lug, and helps prevent fatigue and subsequent meltdowns. We use the Disney strollers for convienence, although one year we brought our nice stroller with all the bells and whistles.
We are getting a 2bedroom and studio. I really like the BCV studios. The sofa gives a comfortable place to sit, there is a table and chairs...you could even get a high chair if your baby is small enough and willing to use it.
May is an awesome time to visit WDW. Crowds are not too bad, weather is great, and the flowers are beautiful.
Who know! Maybe we will meet...I'll be the old lady (55 years old - yikes!) with lots of little kids and a great big smile!

We will be at BCV the week after you in a 1br, so I can't really help much with the spaciousness of the room. We did go visit the models last year and the studio seemed like it would hold our famliy of four (soon to be 5) just fine. We have older daughters so we prefer to have a 1br so DW and I can lock ourselves in the bedroom.

Shopping - definitely do it yourself outside the park...and avoid Goodings at The Crossings if you can. There is a Publix behind the Premium Outlet Mall that will have everything you need for a much better price. If you're driving down it may be worth it to pack some essentials and get the perishables in Orlando - that's what we did last year.

Baby - we took both our girls to disney for the first time at 16 months each. Stroller for sure, lots of snacks, lots of sunscreen, a hat, time to get out of the stroller and run around - chase the birds, stretch those little legs. We are actually bringing our new baby this trip (adopting from Russia - to be completed in two weeks) and he will be 11 months when we visit, so it will be a whole new experience for us again. Might want to bring some water shoes for SAB if baby has sensitive and soft feet - sand can get rough after a week of playing in it.
