My Wife and I are going on an all adult trip to WDW with another couple who I have been friends with for years. This will be their first time at a Disney Park, my Wife's 2nd time, and I have been many, many, many times. I have just reach that point where it has finally hit me that I AM GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! I am so excited and to be a part of my Good Friends FIRST DISNEY TRIP is so exciting so I am really looking for so tips or recommendations for an all adult trip to WDW and some tips and recommendations for adult first timers. Thanks in advance for the help. I know this community won't let me down.

It depends on what you are into:
sports: golf, mini-golf, fishing, marathon, bowling, ESPN Club, WWS/ESPN Zone, etc
shopping: DTD, area outlet malls, large scale malls
drinking: Jellyrolls, Raglan Road, monorail tour of resorts, walking tour of resorts in the Boardwalk area
movies: DTD 24 screen theater some with meals served by waiters
night clubbing: Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance, Raglan Road, Citywalk
resort tours: monorail tour of resorts, Boardwalk around the lake tour of resorts, horse drawn tour of FWC, AKL/AKV
offsite: Gaylord Palms Resort, Citywalk, swamp tour
eating: Formal GF 5* Chef's Table @ V&As

How exciting to be part of a 1st tie visit! And perhaps a bit intimidating if you are feeling the weight of delivering that 1st time visit success. I am curious, are your 1st time friends excited about the impending trip? Have you asked them what their interests are? Will they be enthralled with their 1st visit to the Magic Kingdom where they will be living Walt's dream? Would the opening ceremony at MK bring a tear to their eyes? Or are they looking for more adult experiences such as roller coasters and the best beer or cocktail? There are so many possibilities at WDW.

I would recommend asking them a few basic questions to help you narrow down those possibilities. Then assemble the outline of a plan. I suspect you will get real time feedback during the trip from your friends. If you are a planner, you could be prepared with one or two options. Finally, leave some open time to allow for in the moment flexibility.

wishing you a magical trip.

That's so exciting!!!

Tips kinda depend on what you're in to! The bff & I are both solo adults and we'll hit MK for rope drop, watch all 3 trolley shows, meet some characters, get some food, use our ride fp's and watch the parade, and then leave to the monorail resorts for some drinks and then either return to mk for nighttime entertainment or head to hoop dee doo.

Drinking: All around World Showcase at Epcot, Trader Sam's at the Polynesian, Mizner's or Citrico's Lounge at the Grand Floridian (really nice to head hear early evening from Mk to relax, take in the music, stay away from the sun/crowds! Ragland Road at DTD!!! Beer flights are $10, you get 4, and can build your own and they're reasonable sized and DELICIOUS, also a great selection of food!!

Nightlife: Jellyrolls!! Super fun, super interactive and fun!

-Definitely take a little break to explore the monorail resorts, we really enjoy leaving late afternoon, and doing the loop and hitting up a bar at each resort, maybe have some dinner at one of them. Usually we start at the Wave with some La Fin Du Monde (Canadian beer, super delicious and high percentage), hang out there for a bit, grab a dessert from the QS area, move onto Trader Sam's, definitely have an Uh-Oha, takes more than 1 person to order it, but it's a show & a half, and super delicious, the sushi here is amazing, and all their food is great and service is amazing. Walk on over to the Grand Floridian, pick up a nice glass of wine and hang out in the lobby, dance around, and immerse yourself in the classiness and piano/jazz band! Also MOST of the bartenders are super awesome!! Continue back through to the Contemporary, where we either, boat to Wilderness Lodge and grab a drink there, and you could finish with a classy dinner at Artist Point or fun filled one at Whispering Canyon. But we'd usually then continue to boat over to Fort Wildnerness, where we'd do the Hoop Dee Doo.

About Hoop, it's amazing and incredible. You get all you can eat food, all you can DRINK beer wine and sangria and a HILARIOUS show, it's a great way to spend an evening and is so much fun! Especially without kids!!

I spent a year as adults only in Disney so if you have any questions or thoughts feel free to pm me! :)

Our adult only trips are so much fun. Things we incorporate each time:

A walk to Boardwalk to Jellyrolls after an amazing dinner in WS

Hoop Dee Doo

Pub crawl monorail style stopping at the monorail resorts and their bars

Evening extra magic hours...sleep in and relax in the morning and then close down the parks at night

Take in a least one "premium" dinner such as Narcosses or Yachtsmen

Regardless what you will do, Im sure it will be amazing to be part of a first timer's trip. Have a great time

Thank you so much for all the tips so far! Just a little more background on my situation. My friends are very excited for this trip. While they both would like to experience some of the adult fun at WDW they are also looking to do some things that are Disney must do's. We are staying on property so we can take advantage of transportation. They want to experience that magic that all of us have grown to love so much.

Go into the new queue of Peter Pan. It's interactive & so amazing!!

Take a midday break at a lounge near the park you're at or eat lunch at a resort instead of in the park. I like to go to the Poly for a break on my MK days.

They want to experience that magic that all of us have grown to love so much.

Then by all means take time to visit the classic attractions. I second the Peter Pan recommendation. Also Winnie the Pooh. It's a Small World. Jungle Cruise. Tiki Birds. The Carousel of Progress. While at HS, visit One Man's Dream. The American Adventure in Epcot.

I might also suggest going on one of the tours. Perhaps the Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour.

Hi Disneypickle:) love the name! Why do people automatically think an adult trip is about drinking? I don't get it, but we are not drinkers, so......we (hubby and me) go to Disney by ourselves, but we leave our "adult" behind. We love to ride all the rides, see all the attractions, enjoy the magic that is Main Street. Each and every park is a new experience each time, and we have been several times. We always try something new each trip, something that we passed by because we thought we wouldn't like it for some reason. Each time, we loved the experience. We took the keys to the kingdom tour and loved it. It is for over 16 I think, so mostly for adults. Lots to learn about Disney, even for us old timers:) We love to stroll the parks and enjoy the atmosphere, plus do all the thrill rides:) So, there is a lot of traditional things to do and never get tired of. We are going to do the resort tour next trip, cause we didn't have time to do it the last trip. Just figure out what your friends like and go from there. It's all good; it's Disney:)

Agree with disneyseniors. My DW and I are non drinkers too and we just enjoy feeling like a kid again. Enjoy the characters about the place and take pics with them. Some you can have really good interactions with. Enjoy the rides and the atmosphere in MK is amazing. For the grown up in you, World Showcase at Epcot is where we love to stroll around and have a meal before Illuminations. Just let loose and enjoy it all lol
