So I saw the Disney Food Blog blog post about their annual Snack Attack party for Illuminations in October but was bummed when I saw it was three days before our arrival.

The wheels started to turn and I found I could get three nights at Animal Kingdom-Jambo in a standard view studio (and had enough points to cover it), so for the low price of two $50 JetBlue change fees, we're getting three more nights in Disney! :dance3:

As new members, that was such a cool feeling to be able to have my DVC membership work that well to our advantage.

Plus, for the heck of it, I wait listed BWV just in case (but it's prime F&W season so I have no expectation of getting it).

I just wanted to tell people who would understand my elation! :cloud9:

Wow I'm impressed. Congrats on getting the extra days. Enjoy the Snack Attack Party. And some pixiedust: to get the BWV WL.

I just google the Snack Attack Party and wow - I want to go. Maybe I'll head down for a long weekend to go. Do you know when tickets will go on sale?

AJ said sometime in the next month or so. Subscribe to the blog's email newsletter, that should be where they announce the final ticket info. :thumbsup2

It looks like it will be a fun event!

A real long weekend considered it is on Wed. Oct 3rd. We miss it by two days as we arrive the 5th.

Congratulations on your good fortune and thank you for introducing me to Snack Attack. We can't go this year but we will definitely be on the lookout for next year! Write a trip report when you get back. I'd love to hear if it lives up to the hype. Have an outstanding trip!

Snack Attack sounds good - did not know anything about it !
We leave Oct. 3 - but ... thinking ...

When I read the title, I thought you meant that DVC started changing perks or something. Lots of people grumble about point reallocations, etc. But yeah, this is a cool "change" to how we vacation. I'm hoping mine goes through because this is a great perk. In December, I rented points and then my dad got really sick and I had to make a choice to go or cancel. With my own account, though, I may have been able to finagle a third option for us.

Have fun!

I was going to leave on Oct. 3 but after reading AJ's plans for the Snack Attack yesterday I'm going to extend by one day. I missed it last year so I'm looking forward to attending this time. Desserts and Illuminations...a perfect combination.

Sorry if the title scared you Allie! Good luck with the rest of your purchase!

Yay! Dismeet at Snack Attack! :thumbsup2

Starring Rolls red velvet cupcakes and AK zebra domes in the same place?! Two of my faves - snack attack sounds great! Enjoy.

We're hoping to attend the snack attack party, too. Sounds like fun. HOpe we all get in, lol.

We had to do something similar and added three nights to the start of our trip but the JetBlue flight change fee was $100 per person.

How did you get it for $50 per?

That was the price I was quoted when I called to make the change. It was the first time I'd ever changed any flight with JetBlue, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. Are you a True Blue member?

Yup...

Very weird... We did this twice. Once in Texas back in February and again when we changed our flight for this trip. Both times the cost was $100 per person for the changes. That is/was $300 a pop! I guess JetBlue is getting a phone call from me about it! LOL!

It might depend on if you were changing a one way ticket or a round trip ticket. The change fee for a one-way ticket may be lower than a round trip ticket. This is why I usually end up booking SWA over Jet Blue because I don't have to worry about change fees if I decide to alter my dates. I also book each way separately because it makes it easier to change one or the other.

Well, it was a round trip flight, but i only changed the outgoing flight. Maybe that is why like you said. I will have to find out. Thanks.
