I likely won't stay here, I don't like the fact that they only have 1 type of room.
It's two queens and that's it. Not a single other option.

I do like the fact that it has a walking path to Epic, but if I was focusing on Epic as a trip I'd probably pay the extra for Helios and get a different room type, they have multiple options there.

A Youtuber posted a scathing review, saying she got charged a $100 incidental fee and that parking was $30 not $18 as they were told. She also said that at 9 AM on the morning of checkout housekeeping tried to force themselves in to her room more than 20× over one hour even though she had to do not disturb sign out and the door security thing operating. She even said she had called down to the desk to ask them to stop. It all seems a bit suspect.

If this were true, I wonder why housekeeping were insistent in entering her room, and whether her incidental charge was related to these attempted entries. Very strange situation.

We stayed last week and the hotel itself is fine. The finishings are nice and the architecture is cool.
The parking is $30 which is insane and you drive to UO you would still have to pay to park. The main reason why I can't ever see us staying here again is the walls are PAPER thin. I'm not joking you can hear EVERYTHING in the room next to you. We heard our neighbors conversation like they were in our room, it was that clear. We've stayed at most of the UO hotels, not dock/Surfside and I would stay at any other UO hotel before staying here again. We are going back in a couple of months, I looked at AP rates and it's $297 to stay at Stella or $398 to stay at RPR. That's not even a choice.

You are NOT EVEN KIDDING about the thin walls! I had the same thing going on and it was insane.

Thin walls are a dealbreaker for me, I'm glad I haven't booked this.
Yeah - I'm really surprised by this. It will keep from staying here.

I've had no issues with their other hotels and I usually stay at dockside last last few stays which is their least expensive hotel, and no issues at all.

I do recommend always brining a white noise machine to hotels - many are very poorly built these days - seems a bit ridiculous to me - but this is pretty common.

Disappointing indeed.

Assume the sister hotel will be of the same sort of build.

Curious tho, which property is closer walk to Epic?

will see if I can find the info I saw about that sometime back.

I recently read that Stella was closer.
But also recall a blogger saying it depends on where you want to start your visit.as if there will, be two different ways to enter and exit to access different lands.
Terra Luna will Open March 25 .
Hopefully we can get updated info from somebody . And then start to figure out the game plan for May 22 Open Day for Epic.
Getting AP preview invite would help a lot !

Apparently Universal has just created a Virtual Map of the entire Resort on their APP
This is great but I really wish they would offer a Paper Map too .
Disney still has these guides available but USO completely eliminated all paper guide maps within the Parks last year and you have to use their mobile APP .

I know this is environmentally important but I would like just one for a souvenir.
They sell the Harry Potter Universe Map with their wands, etc…

Yes, I would like a paper map too. I find the app maps to be somewhat confusing with the circles overlaying each other. It's hard to tell which attraction is which to me. I know pretty much where everything is Now, but I found it difficult to navigate the app when I was unfamiliar with Universal. I imagine most people who are new to Universal might have that experience too.
