I wanted to share our experience staying 8 nights at BC last week. Overall we had a great stay and I would definitely recommend it as a great option for offsite. We booked through Vacation Strategy and had no issues.

Some notes - our opinions

Location can't be beat; it is very close to Epcot, right across a highway from Caribbean Beach. I loved being within the WDW property. The purple signs make it easy to get to the parks (well, we only did EP and MK, but I saw the signage to the others).

It was easy to find from the airport. We went to the Publix in Celebration the night we arrived, seemed very close.

We had reserved a 2BR Deluxe. I think we got to the resort around 4 to 5pm; kind of a blur now, but what surprised me was that our room was not ready (it was Sat 1/11). We parked outside the main building and walked over to the restaurant by the pool that serves pizza. It's really not a restaurant, but looks like an outdoor bar with outdoor seating. We got pizza an nachos; food was not stellar but not horrible either. We gave up waiting for the phone call that the room was ready and walked back to the check in desk. They then told me a room was ready for us -- Tower 2, rm 236. My only request had been a nice interior; no specific tower or view. It was a lake view. We were so glad to finally be settled in!

Room is very spacious. My husband and I had the Master, my two sons slept on the pull out couch, and in the 2nd bedroom were my parents on one bed and my two daughters on the other. With all those people it did not feel crowded, except that there is not a lot of comfortable seating. The couch is small and not comfy to sit on (boys did fine sleeping on it). The two chairs around it were very uncomfortable. If we go again, I'm going to research if the larger condos have more couches/seating. We were fine for meals as the dining table is large plus 3 chairs at the breakfast bar. Kitchen was very nice.

One thing I did not read up enough was that we'd only be given four packets of laundry soap and four packets for the dishwasher. With eight of us, we needed more and bought those little tide things that are 1 load measured out and something similar for the dishwasher. We also ran out of garbage bags. Ice maker and laundry machines were loud but we were so tired it wasn't an issue. We just commented on how loud they were!

The condo was very clean and nice, as was the resort. It was too cold to swim but the pools looked great - we just weren't able to use them.

Parking was never an issue even once it got crowded on Saturday.

Oh at checkin I knew to skip the parking desk but my DH was curious and went over there. They tried to get us to sign up for a breakfast and said we'd get 7 nights free but I said we were busy. There were some messages left on our room phone but I never checked them; it never rang while we were in the room. We did not need the parking pass all week and I think it just sat in the room.

I really liked it overall and highly recommend it. It was our first time staying off site (did Treehouse in '09, BLT in '10, FW cabins when I was a kid) and I did not feel any magic was lost. I really enjoyed driving to the parks instead of waiting for buses.

Resort Wireless was good and free.

We did have to go to the front desk mid trip to exchange for new keys; something to do with the way the time shares were booked - but that was no biggie. Not like we had to switch rooms.

Plenty of storage for all of our clothes and toiletries.

I didn't see any bugs.

Sorry if this is rambling and all over -- I'm tired! :flower3:

I'm happy to answer questions since the trip is fresh in my mind!

Hmm not sure if it was part of my payment to VS. Back when I began, they quoted me a price, I paid a deposit, and then paid the balance. That was it. At check in/out I didn't owe anything else.

GTK....Do they still charge resort fee?
Wyndham Bonnet Creek -- the timeshare -- does not have any resort fees.

The Wyndham Grand Hotel, which is part of the same complex but is an upscale hotel, not a timeshare resort, does have a resort fee.

Thanks for the review! We're going in April and it will be our first time at Bonnet Creek.

I'd highly recommend a 3 bedroom on your next trip if you go with the same people. On our last trip it cost the same as a 2 bedroom.

How does the shuttle work? I know it is free but do you need a pass to use it?

Is there any maid service? Fresh towels or garbage?

There is an extra fee for those services....there is a room were you bring your trash on your floor. We also found an open linen room on our floor were we exchanged towels, otherwise you just throw them in the wash.

We had rental cars (one for us, one for my parents) so we did not use the shuttle. I liked having the freedom the rental cars gave us.

There were plenty of towels. We laundered them right in the room; we brought those Tide pods things so we could do as many loads as we wanted.

We did not pay to have maid service. We kept up with the dishes in the dishwasher (it was quite noisy so instead of running it at night we'd get it going as we left for the day).

I brought one of those pop up hampers to keep the dirty clothes in one place.

Didn't have any issues keeping the room clean ourselves. Only thing we really had to do that I'm not used to doing was laundering the towels which was not a big deal.

Another note - when we went to publix I bought a cheap pack of small paper cups for the kids to use for drinks in the room. The glassware is quite heavy and my little ones would surely spill/drop them. Best thing I decided to buy. We used them all week and just tossed them in the trash after use.

We did start running out of garbage bags .... my parents and hubby were on trash duty and I believe my mom called the front desk at one point and they brought us more. We did have A LOT of trash with 8 of us. My dad was the one who walked it down to the shoot -- it was at the other end of our floor -- at our same level.

I just want to make sure those of you who haven't stayed yet to know that we really loved it overall so don't stress!! Unless you want like "6 star Four Season" kind of atmosphere, you will be pleased. We had no issues driving to the parks and back which was another concern of mine.

Thanks for sharing, we are thinking of staying here in the fall. We usually stay on property so I'm worried about the convenience and magic but glad to here you had a good stay and didn't feel like you were missing out.

Were toiletries provided like soap, shampoo, etc? Were pool towels easily accessible or did you have to sign them out?

I'm surprised that you got that much laundry detergent. Typically timeshare properties only provide one package. Most do better on dishwasher detergent, but I usually bring along extra tablets just in case.

Can someone tell me, if in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, are you able to access a bathroom.....without going through one of the bedrooms? Thank You in advance.....Hi to everyone, new to the boards and planning a trip in July. :woohoo:

Can someone tell me, if in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, are you able to access a bathroom.....without going through one of the bedrooms?

Yes. While one of the two bathrooms is within the master bedroom, the second bathroom isn't within the other bedroom. While the bathroom is next to the bedroom, you don't go inside the bedroom.

HTH.

Yes, it does help....Thank You!

Looking at the layout picture I found, it looked as though both bathrooms, were only accessible by going through a bedroom....I was hoping that was not the case!! :goodvibes
