My family enjoyed out first stay at SSR from 7/28-8/1. We stayed in a ground floor dedicated 2 bedroom in Congress Park. We loved the location. Steps to the pool, which we loved. Pretty quiet. And steps to Disney Springs. DH, me and 3 DSs 22, 18 and 16.

Our Villa was not ready when we got there at about 1pm. We had lunch at Artist Palette. I had the delicious Lobster Club. Yummy! I then got changed and took a dip in the main pool, which was pretty warm. The pool was super busy. That's why we found the Congress Park pool perfect for us. My DH and sons checked out the gym, basketball court etc.

I never went back to the Carriage House area the rest of our stay. My Dh and son used the gym.

We had our first nights dinner at Raglan Road. Great as always. They seated us right in fromt of the stage. Dh, me and oldest had the Bleedin' Chower....delicious! Great night.

We had lunch two times at Wolfgang Puck's Express. Wow! Great service and great food. We really loved the proximity to DS.

The new Towne Center is beautiful but the stores are really high end shopping.

My sons went to the movies one night and took the ferry closest to The Marketplace to the Westside. Very convenient. They ate at the food trucks.

We will definitely will return to SSR in the future. And love the Congress Park location. It is a huge resort, but manageable.

I love SSR. Just returned from there and want to go back! I personally found that congress park was super loud in the evening with the noise and music from DS. It used to be my favorite area to stay, but I now prefer the quieter sections.

We could not hear anything from DS. Unless we were outside. We were ground level and with the hot days, we did use out patio.
We actually could not believe how quiet the units were. We were there over a weekend. We also swam at night and except for a little music not much noise or sound from DS.

Maybe we were lucky. We just thought the convenience to DS was great.

SSR are the quietest DVC units on property. When built they still had nightly NYE celebrations at Downtown Disney and they were concerned about the noise. There is extra insulation and double pane glass. We love how quiet it is there and the proximity to Disney Springs is great for dining.

Agree with Sammie-definitely the quietest units!

I used to love the Grandstand area but the pool is starting to get too loud so I will likely switch to Congress Park. Love SSR.
