Just got back from 4 nights at CCV. This was our first stay as new owners there. Overall it was as good as we expected. The resort is pretty awesome, although we didn't get to explore it as much as we wanted to! We had a 1st floor studio and were right there at the stairway exit close to the walkway to the busses. 2 Adults and an 8 year old, studio was on the smaller side but, it has plenty of areas to store your items and have floor and counter space. I would probably upgrade to a 1 bedroom for a longer stay though depending on having the available points of course. We were able to spend 5 days in the parks and were very impressed with the effort and thought that Disney put into opening up. We were able to do almost everything we planned on doing. Going back for 7 nights in September CCV 3 nights in a studio and 4 nights in a 1 bedroom.
We also own at VGF and plan on returning there next year if all goes well. Hope everyone gets to visit soon and enjoys it as much as we do.

Awesome! We have our first stay planned for September. 1st stay as new CCV owners too. It’s also our 1st stay on ANY Disney property since before buying DVC we always stayed off property. I’m watching the countdown clock and am sooo excited but also a little nervous the trip won’t happen. Keeping positive thoughts. :flower1:

Thanks for the review! We have our first CCV stay in November. HOPEFULLY.

How did you find the pool - was it super crowded? What is the cabana situation at the quiet pool? I know they aren't totally covered but are they rentable or just first come first serve?
Also food wise - did you eat at the resort at all? Thoughts on the restaurants? QS?

So happy for you, I think you will love the resort. Seems to be a very special place with a lot of things to do. Disney has been doing an exceptional job following the guidelines, they are cleaning everything making sure everyone keeps their distance and wearing masks. Most of the guests seem to be following as best as possible, so I don't think you will have any issue in September.

Thanks for the report. We are CCV owners too and have only stayed 1 night in a studio there so I really would like to get there again. We haven't been to Geyser Point yet.

We weren't able to use the pool, the 2 times we planned on going the afternoon rain and lightning caused them to close temporarily. We walked over a few times and the pools were never crowded. I didn't notice the cabanas having anyone using them and the quiet pool seemed to really be quiet and not many people using it. They may be extra quiet because the resort itself is not that full, but it looks like there is plenty of room unless the resort in near capacity. We had dinner at Whispering Canyon and it was pretty good. We didn't get a chance to try the outside Bar & Grill I think it's Geyser point, but it looks like it has some really good food and drinks. Plus it is a beautiful place to hang out and relax. Have a great time and hope you love it as much as we do.

thank you so much!

we ended up upgrading our studio to a 1 bedroom because of having to cancel two previous vacations and potentially losing points. We'll be there for 8 days so I'm glad for the extra space as you mentioned.

Did you do grocery delivery at all?

Great post!
We have split stay (welcome home trip) for Nov - 3 nights at CCV, 3 nights at RIV (home resort)

We didn't do the grocery delivery, although it looks like a great idea. We usually just have something light in the morning in the room, a quick serve for lunch and usually a sit down dinner at the parks or some of our favorites at he parks, resorts or Disney Springs.

Sounds awesome! We were able to ride the Skyliner and were pretty much blown away. The RIV looks like such a beautiful resort with great access to HS and EPCOT. We didn't get a chance to check it out though, but we will try to do it when we go back in September.

We do also! A Studio with a walk in shower for thanksgiving. We stayed a long time ago at the WL but this will be our first DVC stay and our first stay at CCV. Hopefully it happens lol. I told the wife that even if for some reason we don't feel comfortable in the parks a ton we can still enjoy the resort and the monorail loop hotels and epcot walking around the World Showcase should be easy to physical distance.
