After reading the solo boards here, I decided that I would love to try going by myself. Usually DH and I go in October but he didn't have any vacation time left and money is a little tight.

-Friday October 14
I left Maine at 10:00 am to drive to Portsmouth NH to catch the bus to Logan airport in Boston MA. My Jetblue flight left on time and landed in Orlando at 5:10 pm. I had no problems finding the ME people and I was on a bus headed for WDW at 5:30!
My resort Pop Century was the first stop and there wasn't a line for check in. Made a quick trip to my room to put on shorts then grabbed a bus to DTD. I didn't have any checked luggage so I can't report on that service.
I was so hungry (I think it was 7:00 now) so I went to Earl of Sandwich. It was packed! I had the Original sandwich and potato salad with the grey lemonade. It was quite good, but I expected it to be better. I shopped in all the great stores and thought about going to AC but chickened out. I told myself that I was too tired to enjoy it and I had plans to get up early.

-Saturday October 15
Got up early to be at MK for the opening ceremony at 9:00. I got a breakfast wrap at coffee at the classic hall. Not good. Ate enough to hold me over and decided not to eat breakfast there again.
I rode lots of my favorites and got to try some things I hadn't seen before such as the Country Bear Jamboree and the Carousel of Progress. I wanted to go to Cosmic Rays for lunch but the line was way too long! I walked over to the Columbia Harbor House and had the combo basket. (Fish, Chicken strips and fries) It was okay. I enjoyed sitting upstairs where it was a little quieter.
The afternoon sun gets too hot for me so I visited the resorts on the monorail loop. This was very relaxing! When I made it back to MK I jumped on a bus to visit my favorite resort AKL. I spent about 2 hours here watching the animals and I had a pizza & beer at Mara.
Spent the evening back at MK watching Spectromagic (my favorite) and Wishes. The crowd seemed very heavy trying to get to the bus, but it only took me 15 minutes. Buses came quickly and I was back at PC by 11:15.

-Sunday October 16
Today I went to Epcot. Went right to Soarin' (with the rest of the crowd) grabbed a fastpass then waited in line for 20 minutes for my first time. Great ride! I had only a few minutes to kill before my FP time so I got a cheese danish and coffee at Sunshine seasons. Fabulous danish! Rode Soarin' again then did MS, TT and headed to WS to find lunch. Ended up at Harry Ramsden's for fish and chips. This was the first time I had tried this counter service. The line moved slowly but the food was worth it!
I spent the rest of the day at WS spending lots of time in each country. I saw every attraction and caught some performers. Had a funnel cake with strawberries. YUM! Aruond 7:00 went to Cantina de San Angel for a combination plate (Don't remember what was on this) I couldn't find a place to sit- All the tables were taken by people waiting for Illuminations!!! Ended up sitting on a bench trying to hold my tray in my lap. I did enjoy the food but would have liked it much more if I had a place to eat!
Didn't feel like walking to much more so I got a fiesta margarita and sat along the railing waiting for Illuminations. Talked to some nice people from England, then enjoyed the show.

-Monday October 17
I had to be on the ME bus at 9:45 am today so I didn't have time to do much. Just walked around the resort and enjoyed the last of the warm sun.

Magical Express was quick. Liked this new service.

Pop was nice but wouldn't stay here with my DH. Enjoy the moderates (or AKL when we can afford it) better.

Surprised at how busy everything was. I know part of it was that I really was only there for the weekend, no weekdays.

Bus service was quick! Never waited more than 7 minutes.

Enjoyed the time by myself. I know that certain things I have more fun doing with DH, but I made myself slow down and mentally relax. I would go by myself again!

Congratulations on your first solo trip! Sounds like you had fun. I'd be surprised if you didn't want to go again. My first solo trip was just a weekend gettaway too. Next one, a little longer, then a little longer.... Each trip gets more enjoyable, relaxing, and just plain comfortable. Now you've been back 5 whole days. Started to plan the next one yet?

I think that my next trip will be January 07 for the WDW marathon. I definately want DH there for that! It is a long time to wait.....
