That shower that David was enjoying so much - is the reason we wound up cancelling our AKL ressies and going back to OKW. We loved the look of that shower and were planning on staying there even though the rooms are smaller than at OKW and the 3rd bathroom won't be there until the Kidani Village rooms are ready. But when we found out that we wouldn't have that shower either (the Jambo house DVC rooms only have a tub with a shower head) we cancelled and went back to our more spacious OKW rooms - where we do have a big walk in shower! Not quite as neat alooking one as the ones AKL will have - but better than a tub with a shower head!!

Great pictures from the DVC tour--though I agree with others; your house is prettier! I appreciate that you were given a soft sale. Sometimes I have issues using the word "No" and so I wouldn't do well with high-pressure sales pitches. Not that I'm anywhere near even considering a DVC membership, but still.

Our salesman did tell us several times what a great deal you get for the points at OKW. That the villas are bigger for far fewer points than the newer villas.

David and I sat through one VERY HARD time share presentation several years ago and it was AWFUL! DVC was nothing like that at all. It was fun and no pressure to buy right then at all.

Thanks about the house we are excited. I'm looking forward to being a DVC owner, I'm impatient by nature so of course I want it NOW!

When we bought in there was only OKW and Boardwalk and we liked the outdoorsy feel to OKW more so than the hotel feel of Boardwalk. Other than the location I don't know why people don;t like OKW more - it has the most spacious rooms of all the DVC resorts, it has an actual washer and drying (in 1BR and 2BR) instead of a stacking unit. And it's very relaxing but still has activities to do (bike rental, basketball, pingpong....) I guess I shouldn't complain, because while everyone else is fighting over Beach Club and Boardwalk rooms I get my pick of OKW rooms!

Great DVC pictures! Thanks! The Animal Kingdom Villas look gorgeous, I LOVE all the dark colors! I hope you are able to purchase some points, what a dream come true! Oh yeah, get used to the dark wood floors not staying clean, Especially when the dust starts to collect along the bottom trim........I swear unless I have my swiffer strategically placed on my body it NEVER stays clean!

For us it would be the location, and the pool area, though the bigger rooms are tempting!

That's what I'm afraid of with the dark floors, and the black granite counter tops. I'm going to be cleaning constantly.

I'm not sure, but I don't think it was longer than 2 hours from when we left the park to when we were back at the park.

That's funny! No we are probably only 1/3 of the way moved in. Luckily we can sort of go slow and get stuff in the right places.

That's alot easier than when you have to move everything one day and end up with boxes stacked everywhere. We moved alot when I was a kid, I think that's why I don't like it so much.

Love the house pics! Nice decorating skills, miss...your house should be on HGTV. HGTV is my second obsession, besides Disney.

I've stayed at a 2 bedroom at SSR. I love the theme there because it is very subtle. Great resort, minus the bus system, which stops multiple times in the same resort because it is so spread out.

If I were part of DVC, my home resort would be there or BWV.
