"All of this has happened before, and it will all happen again."- Peter Pan
After lunch I ran over to Fantasyland and got Fast Passes for Winnie the Pooh and then met up with everyone else at the Emporium. After a little bit of shopping we caught the bus back to CSR, where the kids and I changed into our swimsuits and headed to the pool.
The pool area was a bit more crowded than it had been, though there were still plenty of seats available. The kids went to go down the slides, I went to get my now traditional adult beverage. Raspberry Crush was the flavor for this day and it was very good. The kids and I then spent a little bit of time in the hot tub, which felt wonderful. Then the kids wanted to go and swim in the quiet pool by our room, so we moved over there. While I was watching the kids swim David was checking email, watching tv, and resting. Aunt Pat was doing some laundry.
The quiet pool was not heated so the kids didn't last long in it, and we soon headed back to the room. After their showers I insisted all three kids lay down. The boys immediately fell asleep. Daisy took one of the laptops to watch a movie while she was laying down, but she fell asleep shortly in to it. Laying in the cool, dark room listening to the sounds of my family sleeping gave me a warm happy feeling and I also fell asleep.
We woke up about 3:30 pm and it was time to get ready for the Pirates and Princesses Party. I had made the kids t-shirts as their comstumes for the party. The design came from a very creative designer on a message board, and then I printed them out and ironed them on the t-shirts.
I thought they turned out very cute, and I ended up making one for myself. Mine had Jasmine on it. It was then time to catch the bus back to the Magic Kingdom.
Back at the Magic Kingdom we received our Pirates and Princesses Party bracelets and then went through the right entrance tunnel. Suzy and Perla were just coming out and the kids got their autographs and some pictures with them.
Then it was off to use some of those Fast Passes we had collected that morning.
Our first goal was to complete Stacy's "Triple Mountain Whammy" by riding Space Mountain. We use our Fast Passes and ended up in line for the right hand track. We had a little bit of a wait right before we got on because the ride was shut down and being reset. Space Mountain is one of my favorites but I wish WDW had the same side by side cars that
Disneyland has.
After Space Mountain we walked over to use our Fast Passes for Winnie the Pooh. The CM looked at our Fast Passes, smiled at us and said "Where have you been all day?" Then ushered us in. We walked right to the ride entrance but then had to wait a few minutes as they changed two Hunney Pot cars over for two wheelchair passengers. It was interesting to see because the cars totally convert so that a wheelchair can roll right in to it.
Winnie the Pooh is a ride that Adam and Daisy have special attachment to. On our first trip to Disneyland they were both not feeling the love for Splash Mountain so together they went on Winnie the Pooh over and over again while the rest of us went on Splash. At Disneyland Winnie the Pooh is set back in a little woodsy area across from Splash Mountain and I think it really enhances the ride more than just being in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. We still enjoyed our adventure with Winnie the Pooh and his bluster day very much.
After Pooh it was time to get some dinner. I wanted to eat at Pinnochio's Village Haus and I knew we needed to get there before the park closed, since it was not open during the party. We just made it in time and we were the last customers they let in. I had read very mixed reviews about Pinnochio's but the menu looked like stuff my family would enjoy and I really wanted to try Figaro Fries.
David, Joey and Adam shared two pepperoni pizza meals, Adam and Joey had vanilla shakes with the meals and David ordered a diet coke.
Aunt Pat got the grilled turkey and bacon panini, which she loved and a vanilla milk shake.
Daisy got the caesar salad with chicken.
I got the figaro fries. Awesome!
Our food at Pinnochio's was wonderful and ended up being one of our favorite meals of our whole trip. It was a lot of food though, and we couldn't eat it all! Also the upstairs portion of the restaurant was already closed so we didn't get to overlook It's a Small World. I did like the rustic decor inside the Village Haus and all the paintings on the walls.
It turned out to be a very pleasant start to our party evening!
