"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

the cake looks great!

And the cake came out great!
:thumbsup2 The cake was great, though we didn't get around to eating it for a couple days.

Great pictures! I love Piglet, he's so cute :goodvibes It's awesome to see a picture of you in there - you look lovely princess: I'm glad the cake was a hit - it looked wonderful! :thumbsup2 Still loving that kid clothing coordination - if I was more organized, I'd do that with my boys LOL

Can't wait for the next update! popcorn::

Thank you! :goodvibes

Who did you contact about the cake at the CP? We are having a dinner there one night and we have two birthdays, and I would love to have a cake there for us. Oh and I LOVE your TR, I will be sad when it ends....

Our travel agent contacted Crystal Palace directly for the cake. The trip report won't be ending anytime soon. :cutie:

Love Crystal Palace!
Its so much fun!
It does seem to be the worst wait though.

Great photos.
Nice family shot around the cake!

The cake looks great! Glad it turned out so cute!:goodvibes

I think part of the problem with the wait was not that it took very long, because it didn't, it is the fact that there are two places to check in and people get their noses out of joint thinking others are cutting in line on them. Plus some people got buzzers and others didn't and it was kind of confusing.

Isn't it funny some of the pictures kids will take? And I see that it continues as the get older - our DS4 got my camera the other day and I have about 15 shots of the TV, the shoes by the door, living room ceiling, and LOTS of his face (and he's so pasty white that it looks like half of his face is missing from the reflection off the flash!) We got him one of those kid cameras to bring with on our trip and I look forward to seeing the World through his eyes.
:rotfl: DH STILL does it when he gets his hands on the camera!

great update and photos. looks like it was a lot of fun!!!

It was a lot of fun!:lovestruc

Cute pix of the kids and characters! pooh: :eeyore: :tigger:

Thanks! :goodvibes

Thank you! :cutie:

Glad you enjoyed CP! We did too, for breakfast, lots of variety and nice servers!

:thumbsup2

How cool your boys are not afraid to parade around CP :thumbsup2 Forest only does because the other 2 are too small to be alone still... I love your character pics and that Cake is way too cool!!!

I think this might have been the last trip they were willing to do that. Joey was reluctant, but did because Adam did. Now that Adam is going to be 10 in a few weeks I'm not sure he'll be up for it the next time.

FINALLY all caught up!
Oh michelle how great to start the day by being the first family! You just gave me the idea to do it when we go next year! I loved David's birthday cake! Oh and I love Daisy's reply about matching outfits. We try to do that too it makes pictures look better!

You were right, Crystal Palace's food looks great!!!

The cake looks awesome -- I wish I had a reason to order a cake for this trip.

The random pics are hysterical -- it actually sounds like a good way to pass the time.

Great update at CP! The kids couldn't get any more photogenic and still look like they're in a good mood! Love the Pooh cake (I turned 40 in Sept. so tell your dh I feel his pain :scared: ).

"All of this has happened before, and it will all happen again."- Peter Pan

After lunch I ran over to Fantasyland and got Fast Passes for Winnie the Pooh and then met up with everyone else at the Emporium. After a little bit of shopping we caught the bus back to CSR, where the kids and I changed into our swimsuits and headed to the pool.

The pool area was a bit more crowded than it had been, though there were still plenty of seats available. The kids went to go down the slides, I went to get my now traditional adult beverage. Raspberry Crush was the flavor for this day and it was very good. The kids and I then spent a little bit of time in the hot tub, which felt wonderful. Then the kids wanted to go and swim in the quiet pool by our room, so we moved over there. While I was watching the kids swim David was checking email, watching tv, and resting. Aunt Pat was doing some laundry.

The quiet pool was not heated so the kids didn't last long in it, and we soon headed back to the room. After their showers I insisted all three kids lay down. The boys immediately fell asleep. Daisy took one of the laptops to watch a movie while she was laying down, but she fell asleep shortly in to it. Laying in the cool, dark room listening to the sounds of my family sleeping gave me a warm happy feeling and I also fell asleep.

We woke up about 3:30 pm and it was time to get ready for the Pirates and Princesses Party. I had made the kids t-shirts as their comstumes for the party. The design came from a very creative designer on a message board, and then I printed them out and ironed them on the t-shirts.

I thought they turned out very cute, and I ended up making one for myself. Mine had Jasmine on it. It was then time to catch the bus back to the Magic Kingdom.

IMG_6064.jpg

Back at the Magic Kingdom we received our Pirates and Princesses Party bracelets and then went through the right entrance tunnel. Suzy and Perla were just coming out and the kids got their autographs and some pictures with them.

Then it was off to use some of those Fast Passes we had collected that morning.

Our first goal was to complete Stacy's "Triple Mountain Whammy" by riding Space Mountain. We use our Fast Passes and ended up in line for the right hand track. We had a little bit of a wait right before we got on because the ride was shut down and being reset. Space Mountain is one of my favorites but I wish WDW had the same side by side cars that Disneyland has.

After Space Mountain we walked over to use our Fast Passes for Winnie the Pooh. The CM looked at our Fast Passes, smiled at us and said "Where have you been all day?" Then ushered us in. We walked right to the ride entrance but then had to wait a few minutes as they changed two Hunney Pot cars over for two wheelchair passengers. It was interesting to see because the cars totally convert so that a wheelchair can roll right in to it.

Winnie the Pooh is a ride that Adam and Daisy have special attachment to. On our first trip to Disneyland they were both not feeling the love for Splash Mountain so together they went on Winnie the Pooh over and over again while the rest of us went on Splash. At Disneyland Winnie the Pooh is set back in a little woodsy area across from Splash Mountain and I think it really enhances the ride more than just being in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. We still enjoyed our adventure with Winnie the Pooh and his bluster day very much.

After Pooh it was time to get some dinner. I wanted to eat at Pinnochio's Village Haus and I knew we needed to get there before the park closed, since it was not open during the party. We just made it in time and we were the last customers they let in. I had read very mixed reviews about Pinnochio's but the menu looked like stuff my family would enjoy and I really wanted to try Figaro Fries.

David, Joey and Adam shared two pepperoni pizza meals, Adam and Joey had vanilla shakes with the meals and David ordered a diet coke.

IMG_6073.jpg

Aunt Pat got the grilled turkey and bacon panini, which she loved and a vanilla milk shake.

IMG_6074.jpg

Daisy got the caesar salad with chicken.

IMG_6076.jpg

I got the figaro fries. Awesome!

IMG_6075.jpg

Our food at Pinnochio's was wonderful and ended up being one of our favorite meals of our whole trip. It was a lot of food though, and we couldn't eat it all! Also the upstairs portion of the restaurant was already closed so we didn't get to overlook It's a Small World. I did like the rustic decor inside the Village Haus and all the paintings on the walls.

It turned out to be a very pleasant start to our party evening!

What a nice afternoon, and the shirts you made are awesome!! Glad you had such a nice beginning to the princess and pirate party!
Happy Mothers day!

That food looks good...

Great start to the party and the party hasn't even started........

Those t-shirts are great.

Space Mountain at WDW is fun, but having been on the updated version at DL...there's no comparison.....

The P & P shirts are great. They look like they were professionally made. Did your kids like them? Did they help to decide what was on the shirts? I am going in August and there is no P&P party. It looks like so much fun.

Looks like a great start to your party! It sounds like your kids get along so well...you can be proud! And with that said,

Happy Mother's Day to a great mom!!!

I tried to not compare WDW to Disneyland to much but it's just impossible not to.

:rotfl: They did turn out nice. No the kids had no say in them because I'm a big control freak! They did like them though.

They do get along well most of the time. Today they spent all day together building a tire swing.

Happy Mother's Day to a great mom!!!

Thank you.:goodvibes
