"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

All Caught up now :) . Love the matching outfits and all your great pics. Your MK morning turned out awesome. I might have to think about getting my family there 2 hours before opening next trip. I feel your pain with the DH that doesn't listen, we have those issues alot too. Can't blame you for being  on the ditching you and then buying the picture.

I honestly did not think about color coordinating to the parks but it did work out that way rather well.

Shh....you should've let us think that was all part of your grand plan! :lmao:

ETA: Btw, I do really like how you have them coordinate without being matchy-matchy. Since I have a boy and a girl, I hadn't tried to have them match - but I think I will try better to have them coordinate, at least for pictures. (This summer, my MIL has organized a photoshoot for all the grandkids, and I may try to get one of just my kids at that time, since the last good portrait of the 2 of them together is a couple of years old.)

My godchildren will be three next week and although their mother never dresses them alike, I think it's cute on occasion.

Their first birthday. For some reason I can't get this to stay resized.

I got these for their third b'day.

We've had family photos too and we wore khaki pants and a red shirt one time and a blue shirt the other.

Holy cow!!! I can't believe you got to open the park! How amazing!

me and dh love big thunder mountain, unfortuantely both ds's are too small to ride so we have go to in turn.

BTM is the bestest!

i had to laugh a the ditching sorry, but that just the sort of things my family would do,

im also going to try doing the co-ordinating colours in future its looks so good in the photos.

I was happy with how it worked out!

I really need to look at that picture. I'm going to find it this weekend.

I like when the clothes coordinate because I get distracted looking at my old family pictures and we don't even look like we live in the same house.

“When late morning rolls around and you're feeling a bit out of sorts, don't worry; you're probably just a little eleven o'clockish.” - Winnie the Pooh

I checked us in at the podium outside, and was reassured that the cake I'd ordered for David was indeed there. Then I joined my family on the porch to wait.

While we were waiting Daisy and Adam occupied themselves by taking pictures of their own faces and feet.

These extreme close ups were something they did every time they got their hands on my camera during our trip

On the Crystal Palace porch was where I saw the crabbiest people of our trip. The parents of preschoolers seemed especially harried. As names began being called to be seated I heard more than one stroller mom say "But we checked in first."

We were about the 5th family called and were escorted inside the restaurant,

and to a round table in kind of the middle of the room.

The waitress explained how the characters would make their way through the room, and took our drink order.

Everyone went to the buffet to get their food, which all looked fresh and delicious.

The restaurant filled up quickly and the characters began making their way around the room. Pooh and The Gang are favorites of ours so we enjoyed the character interaction a lot. All of the characters took their time and posed for multiple pictures and signed the autograph book. There was a nice pace to the characters, we had time to eat and talk over the day with each other in between each visit.

We saw Piglet and Tigger

then it was parade time with Pooh Bear. Both Joey and Adam joined in the parade.

Afterwards Pooh came by for a visit.

Eeyore was the last one to visit us, and Daisy missed him because she had just gone to get ice cream.

After Eeyore left and Daisy got back our waitress brought out David's birthday cake. I had been told they couldn't do Pooh characters so I had asked for a honey pot, but when the cake came it had a black background, which I'm assuming they did since it was for a 40th birthday, and had Winnie the Pooh on it.

I had hoped to serve the cake at the restaurant but the waitress brought it out so late everyone had already eaten dessert so we just had it boxed up to take with us. David also received a birthday card signed by all Pooh characters, which was very cute.

Everyone agreed that lunch at Crystal Palace had been delicious, and the atmosphere thoroughly enjoyable.

How fun! We love crystal palace too!

the cake looks great!

Great pictures! I love Piglet, he's so cute :goodvibes It's awesome to see a picture of you in there - you look lovely princess: I'm glad the cake was a hit - it looked wonderful! :thumbsup2 Still loving that kid clothing coordination - if I was more organized, I'd do that with my boys LOL

Can't wait for the next update! popcorn::

Who did you contact about the cake at the CP? We are having a dinner there one night and we have two birthdays, and I would love to have a cake there for us. Oh and I LOVE your TR, I will be sad when it ends....

Love Crystal Palace!
Its so much fun!
It does seem to be the worst wait though.

Great photos.
Nice family shot around the cake!

The cake looks great! Glad it turned out so cute!:goodvibes

So fun to read about Crystal Palace and see all your pictures from lunch. We didn't get a chance to eat there last year, but this year we'll be enjoying a meal with Pooh and the Gang.

Isn't it funny some of the pictures kids will take? And I see that it continues as the get older - our DS4 got my camera the other day and I have about 15 shots of the TV, the shoes by the door, living room ceiling, and LOTS of his face (and he's so pasty white that it looks like half of his face is missing from the reflection off the flash!) We got him one of those kid cameras to bring with on our trip and I look forward to seeing the World through his eyes.

that's awesome! Looks like you had a good idea for some downtime. Glad the character interaction was good. I love the cake. They did a great job!

Glad you enjoyed CP! We did too, for breakfast, lots of variety and nice servers!

Allyson

How cool your boys are not afraid to parade around CP :thumbsup2 Forest only does because the other 2 are too small to be alone still... I love your character pics and that Cake is way too cool!!!
