"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

That fact that you mentioned your ADR and not bringing your # makes me think there might be issues....:confused3

I like Kali, but it's too short.

Oh, and congrats on finding good coffee! I had prepared by bringing my own favorite with me...I DO NOT drink Nescafe...

I agree about the coffee BLEH! Thanks for posting about the one at AK definitely going to give that a whirl when we're there!:thumbsup2 I can't wait to hear what you thought about Tusker House we have an ADR there too! I love your pics!

Thank you.

Yet another great update. Glad you got some good coffee.

I still can't believe how coordinated you are, Chel. Even down to the outfits!!
:lmao: That's because I'm crazy!

greeat update and pics.

I thought I replied to the new update but I guess not.

I figured you went to bed before you got a chance to last night. :dance3:

yay! good update! This is so fun to go through with you. I hope there are some closer pics of Daisy's outfit. Sounds really cute, but I can't tell anything from the pics. Nevertheless, the family is really cute!

Her outfit was really cute. I'll have to look and see. I don't think she every took the sweater off during the day though. If I can't find one I'll have to recreate one. ;)

:lmao: I had a TA in design studio who burnt water on a regular basis! He was an exchange guy from Austria, living in a room right next to our studio (the building used to be a dorm), and he'd put on water to boil, come talk with us for a bit, then realize he'd boiled it all away and was burning the pot!

I also think the secret to not ruining mac & cheese is not overcooking the noodles....and they go very quickly from perfect to an overcooked mess...:rolleyes1

Yep that's how I burnt the water. :rotfl: The mac & cheese noodles did taste way over cooked.

That fact that you mentioned your ADR and not bringing your # makes me think there might be issues....:confused3
Perhaps? :rolleyes1

Oh, and congrats on finding good coffee! I had prepared by bringing my own favorite with me...I DO NOT drink Nescafe...

We tried to get good coffee when we could. I was ok substituting with diet coke, but Aunt Pat was forced to suffer through the Nescafe.

Now I know where to get a decent cup of coffee :thumbsup2

Interested in hearing more about Tusker House :surfweb:

I was thinking the exact same thing - insert scary music here :scared1:

Our phone rang at 8am and David answered it. I asked him if it was Mickey and he said he couldn't understand it. :confused3 He went to take his shower and I woke up the kids and set out their clothes. The Animal Kingdom called for camouflage of course. Joey and Adam had camo shorts and black t-shirts. Daisy had camo capris and a yellow camisol tank top with small white print and a short sleeved yellow sweater. I had olive green cargo pants and a yellow knit shirt, Aunt Pat wore olive green capris and a black t-shirt and David wore a black t-shirt and olive green shorts. Sshhh don't tell him he matches us!

:lmao: I love that you not only matched everyone's outfits, but themed them to the park! :worship: I have a lot to learn from you!

The automated wake-up call wasn't working in the other room so after the boys were dressed and ready I called for another one so they could hear it. Joey answered it and said "It's the music from the coolest ride ever." They were playing the soundtrack from Splash Mountain.

We only ever get Stitch screaming at us to wake up and Mickey apologizing. :sad2: Maybe next time we will get ride music.

Now as any coffee addict who has visited a Disney park will tell you the Nescafe that Disney serves as coffee only resemblance to actual coffee is that it is brown and generally hot. It is not that it is bad, sugar and creamer can mask simply bad coffee, it is horrible! There is not enough sweetener to even bring the taste up to bad. Only the absolute need of caffeine withdrawal symptoms, headache, blurred vision, extreme crabbiness, makes it possible to drink Nescafe. That is why there are whole pages of threads on the Dis devoted to where to find real coffee in Disney World. One of those rare places happens to be the coffee stand outside the gates to Animal Kingdom.

Making mental note to get coffee at entrance to AK -- thanks for the heads up about that!

After Kali we pulled off the ponchos, stuffed them back in Aunt Pat's bag and hurried off towards Africa and our date with Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House.

We loved Kali and rode it three times -- once we got completely soaked!

I am looking forward to your reviews of Donald's at Tusker House -- that is one of my ADRs that I am really looking forward to!

Dun Dun Dunnnnnn I think it's called foreshadowing. :lmao:

It's a sickness!

Every time I listened it was park music and then Stitch screaming and Mickey apologizing. I could do without Stitch!

As I stood on the bridge I realized that yes this was a much better choice than dragging our tired selves around a park at that point. That was why I had scheduled swimming now in the first place. I had after all arranged the perfect itinerary I just needed to follow it.

Hi:woohoo:
I've just read up to here and thought I would tell you how much I am enjoying your TR.
I like your Disney lines bolded at the start of some posts.:wizard:
Kids pretrip workout was entertaining.
Designer t's are great.
As it is April now......I am wondering if you are close to being in your new home..........don't tell me........I'll read on:cheer2:

Read through your ptr & tr this week.

I love the quotes at the begining of each entry.
The choose your adventure idea is great. I may use that sometime. My kids have read those books in school & loved them.

The matching outfits are great.

Looking forward to the rest of your tr.

I am finally caught up - great updates!

I usually completely avoid coffee in Disney because I always assumed it was that horrible at every location  I will be on the lookout for that coffee stand (and others) on my next trip!

Stitch not bad....Stitch Fluffy...He is so cute:stitch2:

He may be cute but his voice grates on my nerves.

:thumbsup2 We can only hope that Disney will hear us and start offering decent coffee. I'm not holding my breathe for that though.

Making mental note of the good coffee at AK. Good coffee is so hard to find in the World. If they had a Dunkin Donuts stand they'd make a million bucks!

Allyson :)
