First round of stimulus checks deposited today

If anyone goes on Twitter at all (I try to avoid it) but anyway - it's kind of funny - everyone that was supposed to receive a direct deposit, is now getting their check mailed (myself included) and ever one says April 24 ! Guess they decided against direct depositing the rest?)

This is the message I’m getting after updating my deposit info as soon as the Get My Payment link opened up. Will I get a check?

“Payment Status
You are eligible for the payment. Once we have your payment date, we will update this page.
We will deposit your payment to the bank account below.
Bank Account Number: ************
Updates to your payment are made no more than once a day. We will mail you a letter with additional information on this payment.
If you need additional help or do not receive your payment, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.”

I'm still getting the 'Payment Status Not Available' so I'm assuming I'm going to get a paper check.

I’m still getting that too. And on the irs website I fall into one of the groups that it says may get that response, but it doesn’t say what they’re going to do about it . I’m fine with a paper check but don’t want to wait 5 mos like they said might happen.

One thing I did differently is I looked at the exact address on the 2019 filing. Not only did it include Dr (for Drive) but it also had the extra 4 digits on the zip code. So today I entered them too. And voila. Look at your last filing address...make sure it's exact.

Keep checking for updates ( they update each day)
If you are getting a paper check, the site will display that message with a mailing date - my bank info on file, but today the site update my info, and paper check being mailed Apr 24

Same happened with me - I had put in ave in lieu of avenue, (force of habit) and received error message few days ago

Yes- for example - last wave was Friday nite -17th - bank info would have had to be posted by 16th (thurs) - if your payment was due to be sent last night, and bank info was not in yet, check would be mailed - if you were scheduled to be next wave (24h) and bank info in by 23rd, they will deposit on 24th

Oh I see so it doesn’t mean I’m definitely getting a paper check b/c if check isn’t scheduled to be mailed yet, I might still be able to enter bank info.

My status updated today. I had been receiving the payment status not available message. We did file for 2019 with our direct deposit info. Just checked and the site now states the payment will be processed on 4/22.

I’ve been locked out since 4/16 & today DH got the locked out message although we hadn’t tried since yesterday. I’m fortune that we can wait for it, but my major concern is that they somehow think we aren’t eligible & there is no way to call to confirm.

Mine said mailing Apr 24 yesterday - (Lord only knows how long it will be before I receive it ! Was supposed to be direct deposited - I won't even check for update for fear of getting locked out !

We don't need it either. It will go into our savings account. I've been tipping HUGE percentages (like 50%) on our takeout orders lately. Trying to help out those workers however I can. It's the least I can do. I've also been donating to local causes.

My instacart Costco shopper got $50.

Anyone have a guess ... My two kids are graduating next week with their Masters. I know they somehow fall into some IRS dark hole. We did not claim them as dependents. I know colleges across the country just received stimulus funds for disbursement. Do you think they will be out of luck getting anything from the college's since technically they graduate at the end of the month?

I am also getting that message. I am unable to enter my info, direct deposit, anywhere on the site. I am not sure why but I will assume a paper check will come at some point.
