Just curious to hear other family's routines. What is the very first ride/attraction you do on your Disney trip?
Ours was Winnie the Pooh last year...not sure if we will keep that tradition this year.

We always head to Epcot on our first day. Ride the "big ball" as my DD calls it. We usually make a PS at one of the Epcot restaurants for that evening also. (Germany this year).

:D :D ;) :D :D

Enjoy Beirgarten! We love it.....but this year trying LeCellier for the first time....

We try and go to MK first and usually head to Fantasyland. We start at Peter Pan and work our way over to Winnie the Pooh. Usually while I'm riding Pooh for the 5th time with my littlest, my husband takes the older ones to Space Mountain. :D

Space Mountain,Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain just love those mountains.:D :) :D

We always start in the Magic Kingdom on Splash Mountain. Last year at this time I was probably on Splash Mountain :D This year I am watching the snowflakes fall. :( Wish it was last year.

Our tradition is to head to EPCOT the first evening for illuminations. gets us in the disney mood.

We go on average 2 times a month and even when we plan on something else we almost always start with RnR. We will ride it at least twice, sometimes 6-8 times if there is no queue. We have gone to or through Orlando and the only thing we did at WDW was RnR. Wherever we go we start with a coaster ride.

This fall we'll be making only our 2nd trip as a family, so we don't have a tradition yet, but we were just discussing this a few days ago. Our last trip, in 2000, began with MNSSHP and our 1st ride was Space Mountain.

We're planning on going to MNSSHP again this year and I like tradition, so I'm inclined to start with Space Mountain again, but the kids are pushing for either Splash Mountain or Buzz Light Year Space Ranger Spin. There's very little question who will get their way on this issue! I guess there isn't a bad choice though!

We usually go to MGM on the first day and hit both RnR and ToT first. We get the fast pass for RnR, then get in line for RnR since it's short first thing in the day. Then we ride ToT and follow with onther run at RnR using the Fast Pass. This gets the kids past the stage of "I want to go ride the big rides" and lets all of us enjoy the rest of the day.

Since my dbf gets to listen to my planning for months before we go, he gets to pick the first thing we do which is always Rockin Rollercoaster.

We usually start with MGM or Animal Kingdom on the first day. This year, we are going to Animal Kingdom first. My first ride will be Dinosaur, unless my DD over rules me and wants to ride Prim. whirl.
Our trip itinerary looks something like this:
Saturday - Arrive :-) Check-In/Swim at the pool, eat
Sunday - Animal Kingdom/MGM
Monday - Epcot
Tuesday - Magic Kingdom
Wednesday - Off- Shopping, eating, Boardwalk, etc.
Thursday - Universal
Friday - MGM/Magic Kingdom
Saturday - Last minute souvenir shopping at Downtown Dis.
Fly home :-(
The worst part of any trip is the trip home. When I get home, the memories start to kick in. I also reflect on the trip and if we could do something better next time. Maximizing our time is very important to me.

Our arrival day, we take the monorail to CR and have supper at Chef Mickeys. But our first ride in the parks is Buzz Lightyear at MK.

We do MK our 1st day start off with breakfast at cindy's then to splash mountian for our 1st ride we have done this 3 trips in a row and going to do it again on our next trip

A trip on the monorail resort loop the evening of our arrival!!

In the parks we always go to MK first and head straight down Main Street, through the castle and to Dumbo!!

We usually stay our first night at FWCabins and have dinner at Trail's End Buffet, visit the General Store and head over to the Outdoor Movie for Smores and Drinks! It has become a ritual! The next day we move over to YC.

We usually try to make MK our first park. We head to Adventure Land, eat tacos, and ride Pirates of the Cariibbean:)

It depends on which park we go to first.

If it is Animal Kingdom, it is Dinosaur
If Epcot, it is Test Track
If MGM, it is Rock n Rollercoaster.

Seldom do we ever go to MK on the 1st day... but when we do, if it is Magic Hour, it is Dumbo, and if not, it is Big Thunder!
