First Resort to the Right & Straight Until Relaxation!1/25&1/26 updts!Final thoughts!

So glad that Tracy just bumped your TR so I could look at the pics. What a beautiful view for your special dinner. And the Grand - WOW! I can't think of any other words but - WOW!

Its official - I think I need a fireworks cruise. Is it too late to book one for May? :goodvibes

What a great night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so :rotfl2: about your DH chatting up the captain. MEN!

Figured this was as good a time as any to ask you for an update!

LOL! I'm so bad lately!!! There's just been so much going on and all the drama I was telling you about that happened at Christmas just got worse! UGH!

I am working on an update right now though!!! My mid-January resolution is to be better at dising!

I hope your drama can go away. Life is tough enough to muddle through without extra drama.

The flowers on that table were beautiful. The whole evening just looked grand!

Thanks MeMom! We've had a lot of family drama lately! It's really unbelievable!!

We had a fabulous night! It was truly grand!

Ok MaryEllen, ask and you shall receive! An update for your reading pleasure!

Ahh, Day 6! Our last full day!

After a fabulous, romantic night we slept late! I’m not entirely sure what time it was that I finally got up but I believe it may have been after 9! Woo hooo!!!!

DH woke up around the same time and we both just hung out and enjoyed the room and the view! We also ate breakfast. Which consisted of our cake from the night before! I forgot to mention the cake I had ordered for the boat! It was beautiful and we were so stuffed from dinner we couldn’t eat a bite of it! It was so good as breakfast! I think it was even better because we wouldn't have done it at home!

We finally got ourselves ready and headed toward Epcot! After all, we did have plans for the day!

We didn’t actually reach Epcot until right around 11 so we decided to head toward WS!

I had visions of us slow meandering toward our lunch ADR in Italy but sadly that wasn’t to be because WS was packed! PACKED!!! I’ve never seen anything like it before! Crazy! I guess a Saturday during F&W is bound to be packed!

The lines at all the F&W kiosks were at least 50 people deep! No food or drink tasting for us! We fought our way to Canada and decided to take in Oh Canada! I don’t know why but I love circlevision! I think I may have something to do with watching the circlevision show that used to be in MK when I was a kid!

The sites of Canada...

After our visit Canada we headed on and decided to stop for Grey Goose Lemon Citron Slushies in France! The line was long, but it was worth it! Yummmy!!!!

I most admit, I can't wait to get my hands on one of these next month!!!

Unfortunately, there were numerous drunk people in WS! Even at around noon! One of these drunk people knocked into me and spilled a good portion of my drink down the front of me! He apologized but I was slightly annoyed! That drink was to be savored! I wanted to enjoy every single lemony sweet, cold sip! Especially because it was getting really warm!!! Humpf!

We decided that instead of wrestling with 50 million people, including 20 million drunks, we would head to Italy, find a shady place to sit, sip our drinks and wait for our ADR and a Dis meet!

We sat and enjoyed relaxing and people watching! Soon Christine (2xcited2sleep) arrived for our lunch at Via Napoli!!

I must say, I was nervous meeting Christine! But the nervousness was for nothing! It was immediately like we were old friends! We chatted, laughed and had a great meal together!!!! It was absolutely wonderful to meet someone who I’ve come to be friends with on Dis in “real” life! I can’t wait to see Christine again in May!

Anyway, Via Napoli was soooo yummy! I think Christine would agree! It was probably the best pizza I’ve ever had! Of course, my cynical New Yorker DH thought it was really good but not the best he’d ever had! Whatever!

I think Christine will also agree that the yummy pizza was made that much more yummy by the fact that it was serve to us by a young, very handsome, Italian waiter named Fabio! No joke! His name was Fabio!

Actually, in hindsight maybe Fabio was the reason DH didn’t think it was the best pizza he ever had! :lmao:

After our wonderful meal we headed out into a very crowded WS! It was crazy busy! So much so that DH and I decided to head back to BLT! Christine was heading back to BC because it was nearing time for her to leave for home!

We stopped along the way to take a picture of the best t-shirt ever!

There must have been 20 people in the group with this guy!!

So we stopped for a picture

and said our goodbyes and we both headed out!

DH and I quickly found ourselves back at BLT and decided to spend the rest of the afternoon resting, packing and preparing for a late night at MK!

I remember this day.....it was the day I arrived and you told me you were leaving Epcot because it was insane. I was so nervous because here I was with 3 other people and I am the one organizing everything..... We ended up going and stood in a very long line at The Ditch to get some ritas to go. Was worth it but yeah it was crazy busy that day. This is also the day that we ate at Via too.....I really liked the pizza, and the calamari, and the vegetables, and the sangria, and the waiters...:rotfl:

Such a great picture of you and Christine :goodvibes I can't wait until May :yay:

Oooh Fabio....I wonder if he is as cute as Fabio from Top Chef? :lovestruc

What kind of cake did you have? I am hungry now so I must know.

Tracy

Oh Melissa - when I saw your update my opening line was going to be "ask and you shall receive", but you already stole that one. So my new opening line is - Isn't Christine the best? She was my first real DIS meet back in 09 and I remember being so nervous meeting her, but I felt just like you - like I had known her forever.

Then my second real DIS meet was Ellen and then Tracy and Katie. By the time I met LL this September, I was an old pro. :rotfl:

It does make me really excited that we are all meeting in May - those of us who have met and those of use who haven't! I still feel like I know everyone really well, even those of use who I have never laid eyes on and I do think we will all blend! And I think we are at 98 days today so double WOOT for double digits! :woohoo::woohoo: It's funny when the trip comes up in discussion with my non DIS friends because its really hard to describe the bond that we all have.

Now - that T- shirt is truly the best ever! I like the whole checklist part. Of course, to complete that T shirt I would probably need a long trip. I suspect the F&W folks complete it in one weekend. What a great idea though - all the attractions and places and drinks you want to have all on one T-shirt. Its like a Must - Do list for your trip.

Boo to the spilled GGS. Ugh - I hate to see good alcohol go on a blouse or the ground or something.

Tracy

I can't believe how crowded it was at Epcot that day! YIKES! I'm glad you got the ritas at the Cave! I can't wait to go there!

May is going to be sooooo much fun!!!

Fabio was really young! But very cute!

The cake was yellow cake with white chocolate filling! It was YUMMY!!

I loved meeting Christine!! Of course I had another important Dis-friend to meet later that night! It was a great day of DisMeets!!! My first DisMeet were 2 Dis celebrities! LL and Jen!!! In January of last year! It was fabulous to meet them even if it was only for a few minutes!

May is going to be soooo much fun! I really think we'll all click like old friends! Even though we haven't all meet we really are great friends already! I think it's going to a trip full of laughs and fun!

I thought that tee shirt was too funny! They weren't the only ones in WS that had themed tees either! I loved it!!!

That guy spilling my GGS was what DH and I would call a "party foul!" That's from way back in our college days! Good alcohol is a terrible thing to waste! ;)

After posting my last update it occurred to me that I wasn’t entire accurate about what happened!

After bidding farewell to Christine we did head toward the front of the park to leave but we stopped at MouseGear so I could purchase this beauty…

Yes, it was $$ but I reallllllllly wanted it and DH told me to buy it! When he gives me the ok to buy something I must act on it! Plus, it makes a fabulous carry-on!

With that purchase made we headed toward the monorail and back to BLT!

I packed, DH mostly rested (isn’t that how it always works?!) and around 4:30 I headed to the lobby of CR to have the front desk print our boarding passes! While I was down there I stopped and got a latte at the coffee bar! It took the CM FOREVER to make it! I must have stood there 10 minutes!! Really, does it take that long?!

Luckily it was good! I then headed back up to the concourse level in hopes of more shopping! There was a really cute shirt in one of the shops that I had been eyeing all week and decided to stop and pick up! No such luck! They had only small and x-small! HA! That would fit like a ¼ of me! :lmao: The very nice CM even called the supply room for me but they didn’t have it! Oh well!

Then it was back to room again! I woke DH and we decided to head to MK!

We really had no real plan for the evening except to see Wishes and the second MSEP and hopefully meet Tracy (Manntra!)

We took our private walkway to MK and upon entering we knew there might be a problem! It was PACKED! Much like WS earlier in the day! PACKED!

A few MK pics...

We decided to roll with it and head toward Tomorrowland!

We must, afterall, feed DH’s Buzz addiction! But the wait was completely insanely long! So we grabbed FP for later!

Then we decided to head toward Fantasyland! Bad choice! There were so many people we could barely move!

It was then that we decided that it just wasn’t worth fight the crowds and we would find something to eat and try to wait out the crowd!

We hemmed and hawed about where to go to eat and I came up with the brilliant idea to go to guest services to see if they could pinpoint a TS reservation for us!

I was really hoping for Kona or Ohana because I was totally feeling a nice leisurely visit to Poly! But, no luck! We briefly thought about a CS meal at Capt. Cook’s but then the guest services CM found a reservation at The Wave! DH was all over that!

So, back to CR we went via our private walkway!

The reservation was only a short time away so we checked in and went to sit at the bar! DH ordered a beer and I ordered some sort of yummy drink! I can’t remember what it was but I know it was good!

Soon our buzzer went off and we were off to our table!

DH was very excited because when we first dined at The Wave several nights earlier he regretted not ordering the lamb!

So DH ordered the lamb and I ordered some sort of chicken that was breaded. It was almost a panko breading. It was very good, at least that’s what I got from the tiny bit of it I ate!

I took a few bites and immediately got heartburn! Heartburn that got worse fast! I took the tums I had in my purse it hopes it would help. But it continued to get worse! So much so that I started to sweat and felt like I was going to be sick! If I didn’t know better I might have thought I was having a gallbladder attack! But, I no longer have a gallbladder!!

It was so bad I told DH I needed to leave ASAP and head back to the room! He was ok with that and stayed to finish his dinner! I headed up to the room got some water and some pepcid and hung out on the balcony! All the while DH was texting me to make sure I was ok and let me know that he was almost done or had settled the bill!

Soon enough DH was back at the room and we hung out for a little while. I felt better very soon after I got the water and pepcid. So we decided to head out again for MK!

By the time we got to MK it was during the first parade! DUH!

There were people everywhere! Luckily, we were able to skirt around Main Street and up through shops!

Honestly, at this point I have very little clue what we did next! I know we used our FP for Buzz and I got another bottle of water to hopefully hold the dreaded heartburn at bay! After that I haven’t the slightest clue! Sorry!

It did include texting Miss Tracy (Manntra) who was enjoying dinner at Via Napoli and would be heading toward MK at some point!

At some point we headed toward Main Street and got a spot for Wishes!

After Wishes was over I was hopeful that the still large crowd would thin. It did, somewhat!

We decided to head into Frontierland to find a seat for MSEP!

At some point I got another text from Tracy that she and her friends were in MK! Woo hoo! I let her know where we were so they could join us!

Soon enough they were in Frontierland! I could see Tracy, I knew it was her but she couldn’t see me!

Tracy texted me again “Where are you?” I believe I text her back “Turn around ;)” I think I may have also yelled to her and there we were, another fabulous DisMeet!!

It was wonderful to meet Tracy and her friends and I was so happy that they made it to MK! Tracy had been up since some ungodly hour of the morning! What time was it Tracy?!

We had such a nice time chatting and watching MSEP!!! Just like with Christine it was like we were immediately old friends! It was just easy and a lot of fun! That’s why our May trip is going to be fabulous!!!!

MSEP pics...

So, MSEP! Hmmm, I must say, I like Spectro better! I think it’s the music! I read in another TR that there is something fabulous about the “on this magic night” song and I must agree! I really did enjoy MSEP and I LOVE Elliott from Pete’s Dragon! But, I like spectro!!

After MSEP was over Tracy and her friends decided to head back to Kidani Village to bed! I would have too! So we bid them farewell! Without a picture! Opps!!!

DH and I decided to head into Fantasyland and try to get on a few rides! IASW had been closed earlier in the week so we headed there first!

We waited maybe 10 minutes on the queue that had been changed so the line formed along the back wall instead in the front! We had a very nice time chatting with the couple online in front of us!

Once we were off for our tour we discovered that this was going to be one of the more irritating rides of the trip! The lady behind us was narrating the ride for kids! “OH, we’re in…” “When I was a kid…” Blah, blah, blah!! Please zip it now lady!!!:rolleyes1

Once we were off of IASW we decided we were tired and decided to head back to BLT for our last sleep at WDW! But not before 1 final picture of the night

I agree, May is going to be one fun trip!! :grouphug:

I was nervous about meeting you guys too but as you said there was no need to have been. What a fun and yummy lunch. I dream about that pizza. And Fabio was pretty good too. ;)

Those drink around the world shirts were cool. I saw a few different groups with those over the course of my trip. Good way to keep track of your group with those crowds!

I'm sorry you only got to enjoy a few bites at The Wave. I hope to try a meal there on an upcoming trip.

Thanks for the sweet comment, MEK! :goodvibes I think you and the Denster were my first official in park DIS meet too! My non-DIS friends definitely don't get the whole DIS thing, but that's ok!

Double digit dancing for May! :dance3:

I think Christine will also agree that the yummy pizza was made that much more yummy by the fact that it was serve to us by a young, very handsome, Italian waiter named Fabio! No joke! His name was Fabio!

We get a t-shirt picture, but no picture of the good-looking waiter??? :upsidedow

I am absolutely a Spectro girl!
On this magic night.... gives me chills.
The words to the whole song just ring so true for us.
Elliott is cool for a change, but I am ready for them to bring Spectro back.

You got great MSEP and fireworks pictures. So clear!

I can't wait for May. I am getting more and more excited!

Your D&B bag is gorgeous. I've never been crazy over Vera, but those D&B bags are irresistible. The one you picked is perfect. That reminds me - I guess I am going to have to get some decent park bag for May, but I have no idea what. :confused3 Any recommendations? You were dead on with the teva flipflops. I absolutely loved them and will probably buy a cute pair (meaning a non-black pair).

I can't believe how crowded it was. I always have wanted to go in October, but the September crowds are so much nicer!

I am glad your pepcid worked quickly.

Lovely firework pics!

Oh my gosh....My first flight was around 545 am.....it was a miles ticket so I actually had 3 planes :scared1: Went from Binghamton to Philadelphia then on to Washington and finally to Florida. It was all good though...I think I get some kind of mysterious (margarita influenced) energy when I am in Disney :rolleyes1 Topped with not much sleep the night before...always hard to go to bed when you are flying to DISNEY in the morning!!!
I remember walking through Fronteirland trying to find you and I am looking all around like a fool :rotfl2: Soooo happy to have finally found you and your husband. Just as all of the meets I have had it felt like we were old friends in 5 minutes flat! MSEP was great to see as it brought back fond memories of pigtails and family but I am ready for Spectro. It also seemed kind of loud. Then again I am 40 now  Great spot for the parade by the way :thumbsup2 I staked out that area for MNSSHP too :goodvibes

ETA: I have a D&B like that too....I am not sure if it is the same size...I know it is big and is a great carry on

Mary Ellen.....I think you would greatly benefit from a Vera hipster. I never really liked them much either but when you go to actually look at them one will speak to you. I think you would like the hipster style too....either on shoulder or crossbody....and lots of sherpa pockets.

Tracy

I missed a couple of updates!

That romantic night out looked amazing! :lovestruc

I agree about the grey goose slushie. That is not a drink to be wasted in any way. I think I've seen that shirt before about the alcoholic's, but it would have been '09, so their 3rd meeting? :lmao: Priceless, absolutely priceless. But yet, the food and wine festival does add the element of more drunk people. And sometimes that person is me.......:rotfl:

My favorite part of MSEP is Elliot. That was the only reason I missed the parade.

Oh that would make me have angry eyes. Those are not cheap! That's like $3 down your shirt! total party foul. We still use that term. :rotfl:

We sat and enjoyed relaxing and people watching! Soon Christine (2xcited2sleep) arrived for our lunch at Via Napoli!!

:rotfl: That tshirt is a riot.

UGH on the crowds and the drunks.

Great bag! I've eyed that in the wristlet before in that pattern but for some reason Jeff is drawn the the warhol ish one which I find fascinating. I lke the balloon pattern in black and may have to get a wristlet in it. That is horrible about the heartburn, major major bummer. I'm so glad you were able to get it under control and enjoy the rest of the night

I can't wait for May. I am getting more and more excited!

I actually love my vera backsack and I'm not that big of a vera person. They don't actually make that style anymore but you can find them on ebay. It's a great park bag even though I'm not really a pattern person.

I agree, May is going to be one fun trip!! :grouphug:

I really, really can't wait until May!!!

We had such a great time meeting you! I really can't wait to go to Via again next month!

I loved all those tees! Maybe we should have a tee for May! Hmmmmm...

You definitely should The Wave! I was a bit hesitant especially because DH is just not and adventurous eater! But we both really enjoyed it! We'll definitely be going back!

Most non-dis people don't get it! I tried explaining the May trip to my Mom! Yeah, she didn't get it

We get a t-shirt picture, but no picture of the good-looking waiter??? :upsidedow

Welllll, I felt kinda strange asking a cute Italian waiter if I could take his picture!

I'm ready for spectro again too! Seeing MSEP once was good for me! I do love Elliott, a lot. But I really miss spectro!

I seem to have pretty good luck with night shots! The only night shots that stunk were my MVMCP parade pictures! That made me sad!

I can't wait for May. I am getting more and more excited!

I'm sooooo excited for May!!! It's going to be sooooo much fun!

I love the D&B bags! I ordered a crossbody D&B bag with the new balloon design on it for next month and May! I'm trying to get away from taking a suitcase worth of stuff into the park! Now that the kids are a little older (and Ryan's potty trained) I don't have worry about a ton of stuff! Actually in Oct and Dec I went bagless a few times! It felt completely liberating!

The crowds that Saturday were completely unexpected! This is the 3rd trip we've taken in Oct and it's never been like that! I think part of it might have been poor planning on my part! Saturday during F&W in Epcot! Duh! Then Saturday night in MK with all the new guests wanting to see MK first! Duh! We've decided we will not hit MK on a Saturday ever again!

Oh my gosh....My first flight was around 545 am.....it was a miles ticket so I actually had 3 planes :scared1: Went from Binghamton to Philadelphia then on to Washington and finally to Florida. Oh my goodness! Those early flights are a killer! I hate feeling that exhausted! I'm trying to plan accordingly in the future!

We had such a great time meeting you!!!! It was fabulous! That's why I can't wait until May! It's going to be soooo much fun!!!!!!!!

I have a ton of Vera bags! I seem to have outgrown them though! I'm just not feeling it as much anymore! The hipsters and mailbags are great park bags though!

I LOVE that D&B bag! DH thought I was kind insane but he said yes!! I ordered the new balloon design crossbody D&B! I can't wait to use it!!!!

I missed a couple of updates!

That romantic night out looked amazing! :lovestruc

I'm still bummed about the GGS! Boo! I think he should have bought me a new one! :lmao: I'm all for having fun at F&W and even when it's not F&W! :rotfl2: How can you not with all those wonderfully yummy drinks?!?! I can't wait to get a few next month! GGS is on my list and a trip to the Cave! Come to think of it I also need a Lapu Lapu at Poly too! My list is getting longer!!

:(

I love it! I had pie for breakfast on new years eve, it was awesome!!!

I actually love my vera backsack and I'm not that big of a vera person. They don't actually make that style anymore but you can find them on ebay. It's a great park bag even though I'm not really a pattern person.

Ack!! The drama has been ridiculous!!! I'm soooo done with it!

Having cake for breakfast was fun! I admit!! It was so against everything I tell the kids about eating breakfast! But, what they don't know won't hurt them ;)

You know, I thought the exact same thing when the guy bumped me! It was at least $2 down my shirt! Thanks!!!

Aww! I think May is going to be soooo much fun! I wouldn't worry about not having actually met any of us yet! It all seems to work! You what I mean?!

I LOVE my D&B! I ordered the white balloon print because they have a crossbody bag! LOVE that! I can't wait to use it!!

I have a ton of Vera Bags but I'm kinda done with Vera now! Not sure why, just not that into it anymore!

Yay! Two DIS meets! Your May trip is going to be FANTASTIC! :hyper:

Adorable pic!

We did the WS on a Saturday once during F&W and pretty much experienced the same as you-oodles of drunk people and a PACKED park. :headache: Good idea to eat and get out of there, it's not fun when it's like that!

Sorry to hear about the awful heartburn! What terrible timing after just a couple bites of dinner too. :sad2: We had The Wave on our ressies for Feb/March but it got canceled...now I'm regretting that a bit.

Beautiful, beautiful Wishes pics - and bag! :goodvibes
