My miserable effort to get this TR done before we leave on our next trip has failed, well, miserably!
My progress in getting the 19 million things that I need to get done, done before we leave is actually going rather well! Although right now I should be cleaning and putting up Christmas decoration! There is a small possiblity that I'll get 1 more update in before now and tomorrow morning!
So, without further delay I bring you day 4!
Day 4 dawned early for
'me again!
This time for good reason! I was headed to the spa at the Grand Floridian! Woo hoo!
This was also the day we were changing room and heading on our first off site excursion! So DH was in charge of any last minute packing and calling for bell service to get the luggage for our move!
I got myself ready quickly, reminded DH of what he needed to do and made plans to meet him at MK after my trip to the spa and headed out!
I had an 8:30 appointment for a massage and a facial after! Ahhhhhhh!!!
I love the spa at GF! Mostly because they offer this massage(taken from GF spa brochure!)
Aurum Manus Massage (80 & 50 minutes) (1st Spa in the U.S. to offer this exclusive service in 2008) Aurum Manus is a revolutionary treatment method based on the use of warmed organic oils and healing semi-precious stone spheres to stimulate vital points and energy meridians on the body. This massage is like heaven is massaging your body and taking all the knots, all the stress, all the bad junk out and making you a better, happier version of yourself! It is beyond amazing and worth every penny!
I also got an anti-stress facial! I must admit, this was the second time Ive had this facial and the 1st time was better! It was still great! But not fabulous!
After my visit to the spa was complete I wandered back to the main building of GF and called DH!
I made my quick monorail trip from GF to MK and as I walked down the ramp I saw DH coming the other direction! Good timing!
We headed into the park and up Main Street! DH, of course, wanted to ride Buzz for like the 19th time!
On our way out I decided to take a picture of DH! DH was giving me a hard time for taking so many pictures and decided to give me something to take a picture of! LOL!!

I told him he's lucky I don't know his FB password because I'd make that his profile pic!!!
After Buzz we decided to head to the other side of the park to take in a few rides we hadnt done in awhile!
First stop was to get FP for the Jungle Cruise! The return time wasnt that far off! Maybe an hour or so. SO we decided to the Tiki Room! We havent done that since our first family trip in 05!!
DHs verdict was that its still really cheesy! LOL!! I really wish theyd bring back the old version! Zazu and Iagos business goes under do to the poor economy and the old management buys it back! LOL!! I have fond memories of the original from when I was a kid!!
After Tiki Room we headed over to POTC for another pirate adventure! It was basically a walk on from what I recall!
Then we headed back toward Jungle Cruise! Its been awhile since we rode JC! We rode it during our KTTK tour in 09 but its a KTTK tour ride not the normally kitschy stuff!
We had a great captain! He made me laugh! A few times I was just about the only one that laughed, he seemed appreciate that, although I felt like a giant dork!
After JC we decided it was time to head out because we needed to get to the Car Care Center to pick up our rental!
We took the monorail to TTC and walked over to where the taxis park! We were quickly off and reached CCC just as quickly! Our luck continued when we got to the Alamo desk! There was no one online and getting the car was easy peasy! I think from the time we boarded the Monorail until the time we got in the car to head back to CR was maybe 25 minutes tops!
So, back to CR we went! DH commented that it felt kinda of funny driving at WDW! Weve only had a car at WDW once before. That was in 05 when we took the auto train down. We never used the car once we got to WDW! It sat in the parking lot at AK for a week!
Once back at CR we checked in for our new room! I had checked in online for this reservation as well. As you may recall our experience checking into the first room was a little bit of a nightmare! But this was the exact opposite! Quick and easy!! Plus, our room was ready! Yippeeeee!
We headed to Contempo Café to grab some lunch!! DH got soup and something else and I got a flatbread! All of it was pretty good! Nothing spectacular but it did the job and was way better then the meal we had on the first day!
After lunch we headed to our new room! Room 7426!
A few pictures of the room!

(with DH again! Sorry!)
I must say, this was our MK view room and we were on the 4th floor! I was kinda annoyed and kinda disappointed! 4th floor?! I called the front desk and voiced my displeasure but all the upper floors were taken! Boo! 4th floor MK view is basically parking lot and MK view! DH wasnt impressed and said he like the other view better! Honestly, I think I did too! I guess thats why I didnt take any view pictures at that time! LOL!!
We relaxed and napped for a few hours until it was time to head out on our excursion!
DH wanted to leave plenty of time for us to get were we were going!! DH was the driver and the rented GPS was the navigator! I was the tourist! Although, heading west out of WDW there is really nothing to see until you reach Tampa an hour and 15 minutes later!
Yes, we were in Tampa! DH and the GPS took us to the St. Peterburg Times Forum! Why you may ask, for a hockey game!!
A New York Islanders versus the Tampa Bay Devil Rays game! DH is a huge Islanders fan, he has been since he was a kid. So when he found out they were playing in Tampa during our trip he REALLY wanted to go!
He was happy, happy, happy!
Id give you a play by play of the game but, honestly, I cant! The Islanders won! In overtime after a goal that was reviewed for 10 minutes by NHL officials at the NHL headquarters in Canada! DH was very happy!!!
We started our trek back to BLT and arrived home to take in a beautiful nighttime view!
Then it was off to bed!!
