:cool1: So excited to finally be on this board!! I've lurked for a LONG time & I want to thank everyone for their input.

My family is planning our next Disney trip for sometime late next year, possibly around Thanksgiving or the week after. Part of the decision will be based on when DH can get time off, the other will be based on the kiddos, and also if someone could please answer me this question...

Will the MK be decked out in all its Christmas glory the week of Thanksgiving? or will that be more likely around the 1st of December as I know the Very Merry Christmas parade is usually taped sometime at the beginning of the month. I really would like my kids to see all the Christmas splendor... I was only able to go once back in my college days & it was simply a site to behold. I want my kids to be able to experience that holiday magic. :santa:

Also- my boys are big time water fanatics...will it be warm enough at the end of Nov, early Dec to enjoy pool time fun? Are the water parks even open?

We've almost always done the Disney fun in May or early June, what will I need to pack for late November, early December? And since we will most likely be driving...how is I-75 south (weather wise) during that time of year??

Thanks for all the help in advance. I'm looking forward to reading you're input.:surfweb:

in DEcember expect a range of weather from heavy coat to light jacket to shorts... the pools are heated, so are the water parks... but it might be too chilly to run around outside the water at the water parks (spashmountain is adjusted based on air temp to determine how wet you get). Winter is when one or the other of the water parks is closed for refurb... but at least one is open.

the day after the last halloween party, halloween decortations start coming down, christmas starts going up... byt thanksgiving most christmas decorations are up. The Christmas Parade for TV is usually shot the first weekend in december, it is suggested to avoid MK is you don't wanna watch the parade, and keep in mind, the parade takes hours, backs up many times, and you are kinda trapped while it is going on
