BTW- I am so happy to have found a discussion board with an area just for DLP! :cool1:

We're taking (6 total) our family (3 older kids- 20, 18, 12) and my Adult Brother to Paris for a week (all first time abroad except husband and I). One of our daytrips is to DLP. I've just started researching this and read through the information here as well as some posts. Here's my questions:

TRAIN- Our Carte Orange will have expired by this trip. I was told I can buy Moblis Zone 1-5 passes that will work both on the Metro in Paris (from La Tour Maubourg to Opera then we can walk a tunnel? to Auber for the RER) and for the RER-A to DLP (Marne Valley/DLP). My question is, can I buy a carnet of 10 of these (+ 2 singles) for cheaper. I know you can get these for the Metro, but wasn't sure about these or how to ask for them (I know only phrases of French, but am listening to my French CD's daily!)?

PARKHOPPER 1 DAY TICKETS- Since we have 6 Adults (Parkhoppers for the day), I'd love to hear of a cheaper way to do this for someone in the US?

10%? I've looked at the official site and I see the 10% discount for booking a certain day. What's your advice on committing to this? I also see that I have to trade in the online voucher to get an actual ticket once we get there (Pluto Booth)---sounds like this will slow us down. I'm afraid to do this as I've left open both of our last two days (May 19 or 20) and thought I'd look at the weather report to see which looks better? I also see that Space Mtn. is closed on the 20th (my kids would have to miss this)? The French Holiday l'Ascencion is on the 17th, not sure if that will affect Mon. the 19th? It saves us 10$US per ticket-what would you do?

And just to clarify...If you go to book the regular (non-dated) 1 day parkhoppers, it asks you to put in a date when you'll be coming, but you can't put in anything past April. We're going in May- do I have to wait? Why do they want a date, aren't these good for a year, or am I booking the wrong thing? It also says the price for these tickets is only good until April 4th. Can I use them past April 4, or does this just mean the price may go up and I should book these soon?

Hi RoosMomKanga and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Hi there, i don't know much about the trains, but the tickets prices may change in april which is probably why they are not up yet, but the best bet would be to just call and find out direct from the source i think. If you buy tickets from the website they are doing 15% off a day hopper ticket...
sorry can't help with your other Qs

Thanks Mulan1! I can't find the 15% off 1 day hopper tickets anywhere on the official site (just 10% off if you buy dated tickets). Can you tell me where to find it? Also, can I beat the ticket increase and just buy these before the April 4th increase? When the site won't let me put in a date for May could I just put a date in April into the system even though we're not going until May? Don't they last a year? This is so confusing... Why can't I buy tickets for mid-May now?

i don't really know, you can get the 15% on the UK site, maybe you could just buy tickets when you arrive? other than that i'm not too sure.. sorry!

On this thread here post#4 there is a link to FranceBillet. Don't know how these prices compare with the ones you've been looking at.

I would have thought park tickets would have been valid for a year from purchase :confused3 perhaps you could e-mail and ask this.

You can buy a book of ten tickets ~ I should imagine these would work out cheaper than buying single tickets. There is a link in The Very Useful Info sticky at the top of the page where you should be able to work out prices.

EDIT: Just looked at the sticky and it looks like you'll save around 20% if you buy a carnet of ten tickets rather than individual ones. :thumbsup2

Ware Bears- DLRP gives me a price of $74 US per Adult, so it's about $10 cheaper then the France Billet site.

I'll take a look at the carnet, thanks!
