Hi all!!! Just got back Sunday from Spring Break in Florida!! We visited the in-laws, spent 3 days on the beach in Clearwater, and did 3 days at WDW. It was our first DVC trip, BCV was GREAT!!!! My kids are 12, 11, 8, and 6. We have been to Disney numerous times, but only once as a couple, prior to having kids. We have had one or two strollers on every trip. We used to bring our own strollers when we lived in Florida, then we started renting after we moved up here so we did not have to lug the thing with us (we usually drive.) Anyway, youngest DD is a real BABY. We went to Dollywood in the Smoky Mountains last summer and did not use a stroller, but it is not as large as WDW. DH was determined not to get one for her this time but I was worried. She did fine, and it was great not to have to park and unload the thing for rides/shows, and then come out and look for it. She complained a few times but I would just cheer her on until the next attraction. The MK was a zoo last Tuesday, I have never seen so many strollers and wheelchairs in my life!!! It was great just squeezing around them and hustling to the next ride/show!!!!! All of you with older kids who are on the fence about whether or not to us a stroller.....DON'T!!!! You just may love it....Lacee

I agree with you!!!

We loved not having our strollers in Jan. Our twins had just turned 6 that month. I think the boys liked being free to walk with their older sister (10) and check out all the cool stuff. It is so much easier to move through the parks without the stroller! I also use to hate getting out of a ride and then back tracking to find where we parked the stroller. Without it we could quickly go form one ride to the next.

Congrats - I love our now stroller free trips! Just wanted to mention we are heading to Clearwater Beach next week - can't wait. Unfortunately no WDW this trip just a relaxing week at the beach and maybe a day at BGT.

tjmw...Clearwater is gorgeous!!! I would love to go to the Tampa area again and do Busch Gardens and all the local stuff there. Have a great trip, our next one is Williamsburg, Va. in June and we plan to do BG there!!!! Lacee

My girls were almost 6 and 8 on our last trip. We had one of our strollers with us, but it broke about 1/2-way through the trip. I'm glad we had it for some of the days, but we did fine without it. My 6yo can be a real whiner and straggler. We started playing a game called "Who's the 'moseyer'?"...as in "She's just moseying along." My 6yo did not want to be the 'moseyer', so she always sped ahead when we asked that question and she would say "Mommy's the moseyer!!" ...etc.

In October we'll definitely be stroller-free!

laceemouse,

We just got back from a quick trip to BG Williamsburg. It was great. At 2:00 we were waiting for the train and they told us there were 3,000-4,000 people in the park. On a summer day there are 30,000-40,000. We were able to stay on rides if we wanted! Colonial Williamsburg was much busier!

HAve fun!
