Planning a trip for early December. We've stayed on site many times (lucky enough to have in-laws who are DVC members :yay: ) and this is the first year we'll be spending the first night off-property. Any recommendations on good hotels, preferably with a separate kids' suite for our little ones? Also, anyone have any tips on fun things to do that first night? Thanks!

I am a big fan of the Springhill Suites at the Marriott Villiage. Nice big rooms usually at a very reasonable rate.

Depending on the ages of your kids, the NICK Hotel is fun, and does have suites with separtes bedrooms. There really is a lot for kids to do. We made a reservation on our first night this coming trip just for my DS who is four. He loved it so much last year when we stayed one night. We were actually going to stay there for three nights and On-Site Disney for six nights, but it was cheaper, some how, the stay longer on site at disney.
