We will be arriving in WDW around 2-3pm and we don't plan on going to the parks and wasting a full days pass. So I wanted to have dinner someplace fun and very "DISNEY" for our first night to get our vacation off to a good start. There are 5 adults and a 4 year old and we are staying at the BWI. Your suggestions are appreciated. Thanks-- :p

If you want the "Disney" experience I would say Chef Mickeys in the CR. The 4 year old will love it. Otherwise you might want to try one of the Downtown Disney restaurants.

Right next door to the BWI is the BC hotel. They have an all you can eat clam bake. That's where we will be our first night;) .
What could be better an all you can eat buffet with very little traveling?

Or for something a little less expensive, you could try Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. Burgers,Dogs,Onion Rings, and Ice Cream. It is a full service, Old fashioned Soda Shop style restaurant. This is just an idea, because you may be tired from the trip and not want to get too elaborate for too far away your first night.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's!!!! You can't get much more of a Disney expierence for your first night there, than dinner with Mickey and the gang.Afterward I would take the monerail over to the Poly, and sit on the beach and watch the MK fireworks.

Yet another vote for Chef Mickey's! Also, after dinner you can ride the monorail around. Ask the CM at the top of the escalator if you can ride in front with the driver :). Only 4 at a time, though.

Chiming in here with another vote for Chef Mickey's! We did the same thing you're planning on our last visit to Disney, and now we can't imagine beginning our vacation any other way. You can't beat the atmosphere! Brier Rose hit the nail on the head with her after-dinner suggestion. That's our plan for our Thanksgiving day arrival. :)

Thank you for all you great responses! I just made my dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's! I think that is a great idea! Now I really can't wait to get there--
