hi all
has anyone got any suggestions what to do for our first night and day at disney
we are on the 12.30am flight from gatwick arriving at orlando at 16.40
when we were there last time we sort of wasted time just wondering about checking resort and things out
i know we were up very early the next day,i thought we could do a character breakfast so we would be in the park at the time of opening:D :D
has anyone any suggestions or tips on what to do or how to make the most of things
look forward to hearing from you :D :D :D

I salute anybody who can do anything other than do a little bit of shopping for provisions and then straight to bed! By the time we've reached our villa/hotel and visited Publix for food & drinks it's probably close to 7 or 8pm. Although not late, your body is telling you that it is actually 2 or 3am. And that's after a minimum of a 12-hour journey, trapped in a stuffy airplane.

My vote on the first night goes for a short walk around your hotel, or perhaps a gentle swim in the pool and then straight to bed ready for the next day's adventures.

Regards

Rob

Last trip we arrived at POR had a quick change of clothes and headed straight to MK for 8pm to meet some American friends :)

I don't know whether it was the excitement of being in MK or what, but we didn't feel tired and we stayed in the park until closing time. We saw Spectro Magic and FITS fireworks and had a great time - Splash Mountain in the dark is really cool :)
I think it was about 10:30pm when we left MK (3:30am UK time!)

Next morning we were in AK for 9am too!!!

We intend to do a similar thing in August, but will probably grab something to eat before going to MK.

We usually get ourselves settled in, go for something to eat, visit WalMart and then collapse into bed. Although last year we went via Chicago and all we were fir for when we arrived was bed.

The first night we tend to just get settled and relax, then go for something to eat, then....sleep.

We're arriving later this trip - 7.30pm, going via Chicago, so probably do even less this trip.

The next day we prefer to take things easy - we used to head to a park at the crack of dawn, but now prefer to go slow....swimming and shopping and eating!!

hi all thank you for your replies,we will proberbly just stroll around resort or(depending on how tired kids are)go and have a stroll around the boardwalk(we have never been there)the next day we want to do a character breakfast in one of the parks so as to be there in the park at opening, then head back to our hotel for a swim or nap(staying at all star movies):D :D

Whoa!! you must have bundles of energy Goofyish, lol, have you got mind aswell? hehe,i usually (last year) was too tired to do anything but did manage to walk to dennys for a burger then bed, this year we are going to get some tea,and provisions.
I dont think i could manage doing anything too big,and energetic, this time im pushing the boat out as dp wants to get things in,and he has to eat :P so im doing it for him if it was me,i'd be in bed snuggled up!!! hehe.
